How would you see them using the promotion going forward? Any chance they do something worthwhile with it!

Nah they'd shut it down and use it for the tape library. And that's not an insult to either WWE or ROH. It's just what they've almost always done.

They would have no use for ROH except for the tape library.
That would go on the Network so they can release footage of Rollins, Owens, Zayn etc.

Oh and ROH would probably be the new "minor league indie" for their 2K career modes.

WWE presents ROH featuring Pure Champion The Boogeyman and the return of ECW Zombie😝
Whatever puts Dalton Castle back on TV, then I'm for it.

Yeah, probably the Tape Library... the WWE don't really need a second promotion to run at the same time.
Like Evolve which I'm pretty like died as soon as the WWE bought it didn't it?

All they’d use it for it the tape library and bury it. At least Tony could actually use it for good.

I think it kind of depends how much Triple H would be involved.

Considering Rollins,KO and Sami's ROH legacy in that company I could easily see them doing One of the B PPV's as Night Of Honor or something.

Any chance they do something worthwhile with it! Nope. Not even the tape library. Maybe pre-Peacock deal it would make for good network content and DVD/Blu-Ray extras if it happened in 2016/2017 - but in 2022 there's absolutely no upside to WWE getting the library/IP.

EWR style: buy it and destroy it.
Maybe use the footage in their A&E docs they have coming up. Not full matches mind you; but clips of matches or promos in the first few moments when the wrestler visits/reminisces about home.

Who's to say how much Peacock even wants twenty years of an indie wrestling promotion on their network? That's a lot of work to get it online for questionable gains if the Peacock people figure they already have the biggest wrestling in the world so a smaller wrestling promotion is a lot of space and effort for nothing. Which has been my central issue from the beginning with the Peacock deal, really; the company that owns pretty much the history of American pro wrestling up to 2001 has now put its distribution behind the hands of a giant media conglomerate who don't really care. Beyond what WWE itself would want to do with it, there's a pretty big issue on that front.

Closed overnight, all physical assets sent to the warehouse, tapes drip released onto the network for the next decade. The IP would be used to bully indie workers, god help any talent who got a name or character there.

RoH has some terrible production, maybe Peacock would think airing matches where they can't even keep the lights on would reflect badly on their brand.

HHH flat out buying it without any WWE ties would have been amazing! Bringing in Regal and others who worked Black and Gold NXT,again with no WWE ties would prob make me fall in love with wrestling again.

It'd be interesting, but I imagine he'd likely have to cash out his remaining stock and position in WWE to not really piss off the shareholders doing that.

They would've used the tape library for some revisionist history documentaries and maybe use the footage in some Kevin Owens or Seth Rollins video packages.

It'd be interesting, but I imagine he'd likely have to cash out his remaining stock and position in WWE to not really piss off the shareholders doing that. He'd be giving up becoming a billionaire to become a Corgan-esque millionaire bleeding money on a vanity project built on the foundations of a company that has never been profitable and is unlikely ever to become so as a going concern. If he waits a few years, he's going to be back in power in the WWE or the recipient of a big windfall as it's sold to private equity, looking to drain it's cash reserves before the TV money runs out. Tony Khan chose to build a new brand for AEW for a reason, it's easier to generate buzz for a new company than it is to breathe life into a product that's been stagnating since CM Punk signed his WWE deal on the ROH title. On top of that, Hunter has no affection for ROH, he's an NWA fanboy and everything worth a damn about that company, he already part owns.
