Why? They literally let people go and don't miss a beat in production Yeah, they were pretty easily the best team in the AL, but have run into a buzzsaw in October. And the series still isn't over, it's a 1-game lead. Yeah, as a Yankee fan I don't give a damn about the Astros but if I am keeping it a buck then I got to admit they have been the model of consistency. Let talent like Cole, Springer, Correra, etc walk for big contracts and still produce at a high level As said, it is only a one game lead. Even if they lose the series, so what? Not like they are tied down to major contracts

Not like they are tied down to major contracts They made it to the World Series with Altuve and Alvarez being practical non-factors in the postseason. Bregman was the only one of their big name players who was any sort of consistent and the bottom of the order picked up the slack.

Bregman and co. might have to break out their percussion instruments if this keeps up.

if you are facing the phillies, at what point are they just going to start walking bryce harper? Everything he hits is a game winning homerun, at some point, the other team has to figure out to stop pitching to the guy and take your chances with the next guy. The guy has been an invincible hitter for the last two weeks.
and I saw this from jomboy, the crowd shaking the stadium registered as seismic activity during the game

The Astro's are yet again out to an insurmountable 5-0 lead.

The Astros finally broke their drought with a 5 run onslaught.
But... we've been up 5-0 before, so I'm not too thrilled.

haven't been watching the whole game, Why is Nola out? He was dominating. My baseball knowledge is very limited but my take on it was although he stopped Houston from scoring he was giving up quite a few hits and it looked like it was only a matter of time until the floodgates opened.

Going from hitting a million home runs in Game 3 to possibly getting no hit the next day.

Going from hitting a million home runs in Game 3 to possibly getting no hit the next day. Reminds me of the 2014 Royals. But yay Astros won!

This series could go either way. The Astros are the better team but the Phillies have the mojo/team of destiny gimmick going. Should be a fun next 3 games.
