Edge should always come out to Metalingus. That song is an absolute banger.
And Alter Bridge are, and were, far superior to Creed, and that is down to Myles Kennedy being a far better singer than Scott Stapp and a billion times less insufferable, though Myles is pretty hit and miss live vocal wise, but when he is on form, his Chris Cornell meets Geoff Tate voice beats Stapp hands down. Scott Stapp sounds like a dude whos taking a shit after a week eating nothing but all-bran.
Alter Bridge are also far more fun and relaxed than Creed, who are far too ernest and serious for their own good.

I guess Edge is going for the Jericho approach to heeling - he knows full well his theme is a banger and he’s taking it away.
Can’t say I’m thrilled. If anyone can make it work it’s Edge - but man in suit with a god complex…it’s not riveting stuff after we saw Seth do it not two years ago.
I liked his heel turn at Mania last year. Connected to the story…was done subtly. Him suddenly dropping the smiley misty eyed happy veteran to suddenly “THIS IS MINE” was like a mask slipping. Therrrrrres the bastard from 2006 I thought.
“Because I’ve dreamt it…and now, I will manifest it” was a killer line.

Also of note, is Alter Bridge actually good? This is like the second banger Edge's pulled out from them. It's music, it's a matter of taste. You say you think the only two songs you've heard are bangers, so they must sound good to you. I personally think they suck, and still maintain that people need to acknowledge that its just Creed with an even worse singer. I can't understand thinking that about Kennedy, but to each their own, just as long as they aren't spreading fake news like Scott Stapp being better. EDIT: Let me just clarify that I can fully understand not liking the band, I'm talking strictly about Kennedy's ability as a vocalist. |

Scott Stapp is Eddie Vedder with less right to be pretentious.
Scott Stapp sings like his mouth won't close all the way, so enunciation is impossible.
Scott Stapp sounds like a buffalo going through a bad bout of constipation.
What I'm saying is... Edge should abandon this heel turn, and spear Scott Stapp through a table.

I felt immense cringe when Edges dumb evil laugh hit. Very glad I was watching Raw alone. Turned it off once the promo started because I didn't like the material but I'm on a hair trigger to turn off WWE now. I don't let it waste my time and make me mad

Kennedys diction is fine, it's certainly no worse than Stapps, and as I alluded to, it's not just how Scott Stapp sings, it's what he sings. Also Myles Kennedy can also play the guitar, and play that thing like a demon. The major part of Creed sucking was Stapp, and with a new singer the remaining 3 dudes sounded so much better, especially Mark Tremonti, who was able to show just how good he is. The sooner Edge goes back to Metalingus as a theme, the better. |
