Jericho and Danielson, yes.
Moxley, probably not any time soon, if ever.

I think Jericho and Danielson will definitely be back. Moxley, perhaps. Never to CM Punk.

WWE isn’t going anywhere so I assume anyone and everyone will eventually be back in some form or the other. And yeah, that includes Punk.

Sadly, yeah. Though it would an act of god to get Punk to come back. But other than Randy Savage, sadly they all come crawling back.

Moxley was given one of the best send offs in WWE history, he will be back.

Moxley was given one of the best send offs in WWE history, he will be back. He was squashed most weeks to build up feuds with nothing to do with him, “put over” EC3 with a the motivation of 10,000 Sasha faces and only didn’t get killed by Nia Jax because of Network mandate. If that was one of the best, I’d hate to see what one of the worst was.

Like, could Punk be back in the WWE fold? Sure. But think of how much it took WWE to get Bruno back in the fold and times that by 100 and you'll get somewhat close to what it'd take to get Punk back. Punk has said he would’ve come back to them after the Backstage gig but they never approached him about returning. If AEW never existed, I think Punk would already be back if WWE had any interest. Now that AEW does exist, I suppose there is a chance he just stays with AEW until the end but I don’t think he’d close the door on a final match/run and HOF induction down the road.

They did have his actual last appearance be a Shield Reunion Network special, though, which is somewhat unprecedented for someone leaving in that manner.

another thing we have to consider is how WWE treats Cody. If he's jobbing to Nakamura and Corbin in 6 months in the Stardust getup, that's going to change things quite a bit.

I do know they shafted him on the pay for that show, giving him the minimum they had to give.

Probably everyone will return at some point barring an unexpected tragedy or something. Even CM Punk. Perhaps one of Hunter and Steph’s kids will want to build a bridge to the past at some point and extend an olive branch like Hunter himself did with Bruno Sammartino.

I think Mox will come back for the Hall of Fame, but between his unhappiness and the crap WWE pulled with Renee during the pandemic and when releasing her it would likely take A LOT.
Danielson if he comes back will be a part time deal. He openly said recently that when this AEW deal runs out he's 99 percent sure he's done as a full time talent and wants to watch his kids grow up. But again, his words to Vince were he wanted to bleed as one of the deciding factors to leave.
I would say Jericho would, but unsure if it will be for a full on run again. But who knows, his son is off to college and his daughters will be too when his AEW contract is up.
I think it's more likely WWE gets people from AEW who weren't in the system (mainly Cody students), as it honestly sounds like the system burned a lot of them out. I'd say more realistic guys to come back are Adam Cole (who says he's still super close to HBK), Malakai Black (who did't have many bad things to say about WWE),

I hope neither return. Or anyone else for that matter. Let Cody be the only one.

I just assumed that because Roman Reigns returned around then WWE knew the window for a Shield reunion was closing fast so that's why they stopped the Nia Jax burial and got the Shield back together for one last run. You're totally right though, trying to claim he was given a great sendoff is laughable. He was crushed week after week by Drew in various hardcore matches, to the point Mox himself thought they were trying to kill him before he left and if they were trying to make him feud with Sloppy ass Nia Jax then maybe they were. Plus they gave him an insultingly low payoff for his final match with the company as a final dig. I can never see Mox back in WWE as long as Vince is around.

From what I remember, they were teasing it on house shows and since USA is against man on woman violence, it got dropped.

I could see Vince realizing Mox was gonna help start up AEW so he decided to do a petty ass send off. The shield thing was obviously a quick money grab. I’m sure Seth got the pin in the last Shield match lol Bryan however got a GREAT send off, but I’m sure Vince knows he will be back and cares more about him than Ambrose/Mox

Some peoples heads are going to explode if/when Punk goes back. I don’t know in what exact capacity but whether it’s wrestling, commentary, hall of fame or whatever I won’t be shocked at all if he’s cashing a WWE cheque within a decade. He’s already said he’d go back if the money was right and was doing a media tour in late 2020 practically begging them to make him an offer.
Too many people think the “voice of the voiceless” gimmick is the real life Punk and he has these huge upstanding morals. This is the guy who was in a legal battle with his best friend. Cheated on Daffney with Traci Brooks in TNA and somehow she’s the one who stopped getting booked because of it. Said it wasn’t right for part-timers to waltz in and main event big shows based on their name then did the exact same thing in UFC. Scolded AEW wrestlers for talking about WWE too much and telling them to focus on themselves then a year later he’s in AEW and taking shots at WWE every other promo. Ripped into Miz for taking Saudi money then later said he wishes Bret could still go and get that money. He could come out and point blank say “I will never return to WWE” and I still wouldn’t trust that it’s true until like 20 years pass without it happening.

The definition of a send off is a party or celebration for someone who is leaving and that is exactly what The Shield network special was.
