WWE are clearly Team Mero and upset she left him for Brock He hooked them up with those "Marvelous Marc Mero" robes, and that did the trick!

Yeah, she's really been quietly removed from history, in terms of they just never mention her anymore. Even during all the women's revolution stuff. So yeah, someone clearly wants it to be quiet with her name drop. Can't deny how much she did back in the day. Certain people will deny (like ones we can't mention by name if it's about his podcast). But yes, she was an important character. Let me put it this way....Britney Spears WILL be in the RNRHOF one day. Never mind there's tons of better singers out there. (Warning: A lot of the below is speculation...) As for the women's revolution...they can't win because there's a lot of icons they cannot mention for various reasons. This. Elizabeth because her family won't allow it, apparently. Moolah due to the stories about her, and I think that took out honoring any 80s wrestlers with it...never mind they wouldn't have to mention her (although it would be a glaring omission if not). And never mind there's as many who say innocent as they say guilty. Not sure if it's as extreme as "only two women said it while 12 others deny it's true," as someone I talked with commented. Anyway, also... Woman, I should hope we know why by now. Yeah she was the victim, but it still brings the Benoit tragedy to mind. (if they did do a HOF induction for Nancy, sad to say, we'd have some smartasses hijacking it with Benoit chants or something). I think they would avoid Terri now because of DSOTR, and having to mention the person who is now AEW's Dustin Rhodes. Of course, knock out anyone in AEW or associated with it (I am sure WWE doesn't want AEW chants hijacking their HOF). Maybe Impact too to a lesser extent (Flair took his Horsemen induction when he was in TNA). I feel Debra won't be acknowledged as long as WWE is friendly with Austin. Chyna is still a somewhat touchy subject. It goes without saying, if you're on bad terms with the company too...so no Missy Hyatt, who is outspoken about what she doesn't like about Raw and SD, or Jazz...who may or may not have been on the CTE list to boot. It's hard to find an "icon," so we're stuck with something like "The Bellas started the WR" at last year's HOF. I’m curious about he who cannot be named because of podcast reasons

She sued them and there was a settlement if I remember correctly I wouldn't be surprised if there was a non disparagement agreement attached so they err on the side of caution given she wasn't well liked by her peers, plus it's not worth pissing off Brock.

She returned to the company after the lawsuit was settled. I remember it being a huge WTF moment (even tho I was spoiled being on SD) when she returned, which is when she met Brock. And I actually made a joke with my buddy when we were watching the Rumble how many times Vince has asked Brock “Hey pal, do you think Rena…” and got cut off and told “Not f***ing happening”

How often do they actually need to? Besides the Torrie Wilson induction, Mero induction, I'm struggling to think of why you'd ever need to mention her.
Over as she was, it's not like she contributed a whole lot to what would become the Women's Revolution, in fact, she probably dragged it back several years.

Outside of HOF, possibly any time you talk about the Attitude Era in general. It won't be for her matches (though they'll try to stick in her powerbombing Marc and the like) Funny, as I think of the latter when I think of Chyna too. Memorable figure of the Attitude Era, was actually booked stronger/more memorable in actual matches than Sable. But...wasn't that great a worker, and when she WAS in the women's division, pretty much buried everyone else there.

I need Mero in the HOF, NOW. Just for the video package. Plus, he seems to be pretty successful as a motivational speaker.

Sable's popularity single-handedly resurrected the women's championship after a period where it seemed like it would be stuck forever at the bottom of Madusa's trash can. Granted, not entirely through any fault of her own, it also helped relegate women's wrestling in the WWF to regressive shit like Evening Gown Swimming Pool matches and the ilk, but there's no telling if and when a women's division comes back into the fold again if she didn't become massively over. If she had any positive contribution to women's wrestling in the WWE, it's that.

Funny thing is, if its a Brock thing, shes pretty much on the outs wither way becuase if shes with him, she wont get mentioned and if they split she wont get mentioned. So lets rule Sable out of the HOF for good now should we Eh, if she wanted in, they'd probably induct her in a heartbeat. Vince and some of the other execs were absolutely enamored with her.

It's sort of like when people complain when they don't mention Chyna: They were both big stars, but both are almost entirely irrelevant to women's wrestling as it is now. Wrestling history, sure, they're notable, but neither have a real influence on the current landscape, with Sable just not having been around long enough for that, and Chyna by her own disdain for wrestling women and viewing it as a demotion any time they wanted her to.
