The preshow isn’t on peacock. Does that mean womens the tag team champions match didn’t happen? Well considering if it that was the case then all of the Women's titles in NXT 2.0 would still be all Toxic everything then yes as far I'm concerned it didn't happen.

Managed to catch up on this show. Only the second NXT 2.0 I've ever watched, the first being last year's Halloween Havoc.
It was pretty good! Good matches with some nice moments.
It's just another WWE show now though. Black and Gold NXT felt like its own promotion. The crowds were molten and the Takeovers would flow very well.
The crowd were OK for this show, but no where near as loud as Takeover crowds used to get. And the massive gaps between matches really hurt the flow.
Felt very sterile, like the WWE 'premium live events'. But I still enjoyed it somewhat. Wasn't actively bad at all.

Happy for Dakota, but ughhh Raquel. That was my reaction, although I forced myself to forget my dislike of Raquel and why to lose myself in the kayfabe for Dakota's sake. Can't and won't be upset they've finally pulled the trigger on the slow burn since last year face turn for her and given her some gold. Would have just made more sense to be with Wendy or if she hadn't been released, the perfect story was Tegan Nox. Raquel has been getting called up for months now, yet has gone nowhere. So while there feels four likely outcomes, it feels just as much up in the air all things considered. Path 1: Short term or long term reign. Raquel goes to main roster after. Dakota follows separate or stays in NXT. Path 2: The tag titles get unified. Least likely. But will throw it out there. Path 3: Raquel gets called up. Dakota can pick a new partner, aka Wendy. Or Raquel gives the title to Wendy cause that is a thing when switching brands in recent years. Path 4: HBK is paying homage to post Mania 11 through 1996 Michaels/Nash.

It's definitely very odd booking. Raquel and Dakota teaming back up makes no sense and them winning the titles is strange with the rumored Raquel call up which it seems like has been rumored for like a year now and yet never happens. Wendy it looks like is still involved in the story so it at least like it looks like she isn't being discarded which seemed to be the case originally. Only thing I can think of is they maybe they just wanted Raquel to get a big win in front of her home crowd and that was the only way they knew how and they'll switch it back quick to Toxic Attraction with Raquel then going up to the main roster while Dakota resumes her team with Wendy.

Makes no sense to put the titles back on Toxic Attraction, since they’ve beaten every other team already and would just be giving them a pointless title reign. I mean they’ve held the titles for almost 6 months and did nothing with them. At that point, the tag titles were just meaningless props. I mean they could’ve added Raquel to the women’s title match if they wanted her to get a big win in her home crowd. I do think that Dakota patching things up and reconciling with Raquel made sense as it was the final set up in Dakota’s Face turn, which started with her bonding with Wendy Choo. Although the rushed manner that they did it is where it goes awry.

The oddity is if they wanted to do it in front of her home crowd they didn't even make mention of it on commentary that I can recall. I didn't think they would discard Wendy, however I was pleasantly surprised she reemerged so soon. The match on Saturday had the whole array of feel good moments where the faces overcome the odds versus the heels from the kick out after the finisher to the wronged face getting a measure of revenge to the victory. In that way it feels like it should be the end of the feud. But with Mandy needing a new challenger, I wonder if we may get the best to never hold the belt vs 'the best' after all.

As far as the tag team situation I think hot potatoing back and forth doesn't seem that far fetched and honestly is kind of the only solution when you don't have many teams which they currently don't. Like who do you feud Raquel and Dakota with after they win the Toxic Attraction rematch? There's literally no other heel teams. Unless I guess they just do their usual tactic and just throw two people together that make no sense as a team like say Tiffany Stratton and Lash Legend.

There is a certain returning Superstar who might take exception to Mandy’s claim.
