Christian wears the veteran schtick like it was made for him. With Punk it feels like a reinvnention. With Christian, if not for trhe fact he'd been retired for years, I'd say it was just a smooth transition. He was always meant to one day work this style.

Some peeps looked at me like I had a second head when I said I was enjoying Christian's run more than Edge's a bit ago, but Edge's last two feuds have certainly made this even easier to decide for me tbh. Edge has still been knocking it out of the park, in-ring and on the mic. He’s cemented himself as just an absolute top-tier all-timer, which is nice to see. He’s actually reinventing himself instead of playing the hits, like many legends do in WWE. Christian feels like he’s been more in the background and rarely having feuds at all, unfortunately. They should get him in the mix more as he’s one of my favorites in-ring. His pacing and style has always reminded me of Bret. This isn't even me thinking Edge's runs have sucked or are bad, it's just the preference between the two, currently.

I've really enjoyed it. You know, Christian Cage versus Scorpio Sky would be a hell of a TNT title match, get on that, TK.

The problem I have with the current Edge run is that dude still wrestles the same style, in his match with AJ, it felt like it was still the same dude. I mean, it's still Edge and he can still go, just that the reinvention is presentation, new duds and a new Alter Bridge song, and doesn't extend to in ring.
Though it is pretty early on in the turn.

If that promo for Revolution of Christian saying he'd make Scorpio a transitional champion was foreshadowing...and then we get a TNT title run for Christian like his ECW 2009 fighting champ reign...

People tend to sleep on Christian as being in the top tier of wrestlers, but I think an argument could be made.

I'm not the biggest Christian fan, but that spot where he jumps out of the ring and then bitch slaps his opponent from the floor?
Its been 25 years and I never see it coming and always mark for it.
Also, it was such a good match, that I actually thought Christian was gonna pull out a surprise victory with that last near fall.

People tend to sleep on Christian as being in the top tier of wrestlers, but I think an argument could be made. People embarrassing themselves by throwing a fit when Tony Khan called him a "hall of fame caliber" or however he phrased it signing aged like spoiled milk, on account of it was rancid on arrival and only got worse since. One of the men who completely changed ladder matches forever. One of the most decorated tag wrestlers of all time. Multiple time world champion. "Hall of Fame? I'm just not seeing it...."
