I’m not sure if it’s ever happened, but it seems a no brainer for a comedy promotion.
It would be a variation of that tired spot where one wrestler does his finishing move and gets a super close two count then argues with the ref that it was three. Instead of the ref standing his ground, the ref agrees, “No, you’re right. I guess it was a 3 count.” Then the match ends.

Not quite the same, but I did a couple shows as a manager for an east TN mud show outfit years ago. Everyone pretty much booked their own stuff, so here’s what happened on the first show: My guy (Joe) would hit a Side Affect on his opponent (Jordan) and go for the pin. At the last moment, Jordan would get his shoulder up. I would jump on the apron and yell at the ref about it being a 3 count. While the ref was distracted, Joe would whack Jordan with a kendo stick, I’d let the ref go, Joe gets the pin, and we have a rematch on the next show. No one told the ref what the finish was. So we’re out there, Joe hits the Side Affect, I’m getting ready to do my thing…and Jordan doesn’t get his shoulder up until the ref’s hand clearly hits the mat a third time. Everyone freezes. Joe sits up from the pin, Jordan raises his head off the mat, and I can hear them all talking. “That’s not the finish!” “I’m sorry, guys!” Meanwhile, the bell hasn’t rang, no announcement has been made, the fans are going silent and trying to figure out what’s going on, and the guys in the ring are still frozen and talking in circles. So I jumped on the apron and yelled, “Hey! Are you trying to screw us over here? Ring the bell!” The ref stares at me for a couple seconds with this sad look on his face, and gives the signal to ring the bell. Joe is announced as the winner. We did a post match beat down and used that and the “was it 3 or not” thing to lead to the rematch. And if it tells you anything about the quality of the show, that was Joe’s first match, my first match, and Jordan had maybe been doing shows for a year or so. We were the opening match on this show. The rematch was the main event of the next show. Then the “promoter” tried to shake down a church youth group who had booked the venue 6 months in advance (the venue was owned by the town, so it wasn’t even his) and several people, including me, said “f*** this.” |

I always wanted a paranoid heel who when a wrestler kicks out at one, argues with the ref that it should have been two. Because if the ref is going to screw you on that, he’s going to surely screw you on a three-count. |

I hate Hulk Hogan now, but I always wanted to see two hardcore spots from him before I knew he was a racist.
1. Leg drop through a table.
2. When facing someone like Terry Funk, do a leg drop with his leg wrapped in barbed wire.

Big hoss face is looking to press slam small loudmouth cocky heel. The heel yells: “ARRRRRRGGH! PUT ME DOWN! PUT ME DOWN!” The face obliged by dropping them on the canvas.

I’d like to see some heel actually get disqualified for not breaking a routine hold when the face gets to the ropes. Just take the full five count and retain the title and laugh, rather than go for the more complicated count-out or whatever.

Here's one: a wrestler hits a taunt before his finisher, signifying it's the end. Simple enough, right? But, the finisher is called "The Mandella Effect", and it changes on a per-match basis, with the commentary team acting as if that's always been what the move was on a given week. A DDT, a submission move, a top rope splash, etc.

A DDT, a submission move, a top rope splash, etc. I did have an idea for something slightly like that once called "Scout This!" where someone picks the other person the same way (say, Argentine Backbreaker position) but does a different move from that spot every time so the opponents can't actually prepare for it. |

Back in the earlier days of Chikara, there was a wrestler named Hydra. Hydra's entire gimmick was that he claimed to be this enormous monster, despite actually being about 150 lbs soaking wet. He'd draw abs on his stomach, or wear a stuffed muscle shirt, and attempt (and fail) to lift people.
The spot I wanted to see them do was to have Hydra roll under the ring mid-match, and out would come this Batista-sized dude wearing Hydra's gear. The face commentator would comment about how the whole thing seemed fishy, while the heels would insist that no, Hydra was always this big, didn't you see him come out?
And since one of Hydra's nicknames was "The Self-Replicating Mini-Monster", if Hydra and Big-Hydra were ever to be caught in the same place at the same time, they could just say that Hydra spawned Big-Hydra through osmosis. And then you could have a tag team of Hydras where they insist that they're the same size, despite one clearly being twice the other's size.
