He was a dumbass a few years ago just like Cass was, but has kept his nose clean since and has actually been pretty damn entertaining on the Indies He can still work the mic, he can still control a crowd, and again he's been out of trouble for quite a few years now. I don't see why he shouldn't get a chance if the opportunity presented itself. That's where I'm at, I haven't heard anything that negative in years from the guy. If he's cleaned up a bit, throw him out there as a mouthpiece who can have the occasional match. Kinda a manager, kinda Marko Stunt's role where he did a bit but wasn't out every week. Not sure if he's gotten any better in the ring but if he had the desire it's a great environment to get some work in behind the scenes or on Dark, multi man matches etc.

Yeah I wouldn't object to a mid-card run. The guy was electric on the mic.

I don't actually know what the mark against him is at this point?
I've always found him highly entertaining.

I don't actually know what the mark against him is at this point? I've always found him highly entertaining. Now? Nothing really, but he fumbled the bag really hard a few years ago. Sexual Assault allegation he chose to not tell WWE about that got him fired, wrote a horrible diss track about it that only hurt his optics further, and the infamous gutcheck he got from a security guard at a WWE PPV in the crowd. People are gonna remember your black marks, hence why the "No" choice here is strong, and why there was a "NO WE DON'T" chant... this is what people remember Enzo for, and that's really his fault to be fair. But again, he's kept his nose clean for years, he's seemingly gotten a much tighter head on his shoulders, because he was self destructive at one point. I honestly think Cass' shit woke him up a bit, because he sent that Instagram message in tears talking about it when it was happening, and since, both Enzo and Cass have simply... done their thing with the opportunities presented, and been fine about it. I'm of the mind of "Sure, give him a chance, but maybe a short leash just in case", I haven't heard anything about him being a "locker room cancer" these days, and he's worked multiple promotions and indies.

I mean, why get nZo when Malcomn Bivens will be on the open market in June? Better worker, better talker and doesn't have a case that could easily reopen again if evidence was found leaning either way.

Hasnāt there been more substantiated against someone like Darby than there has against Enzo, and that case was 4-5 years ago at this point.

No there hasn't since Enzo's case actually went to court, which is why he got fired, because he didn't tell his employer about it AT ALL because cops and law officials were involved and such. You could do both though realistically, but Enzo's stuff was way worse and he himself made it way worse and way more public when he decided to joke about it in a diss rap, whether he actually committed the act or not, that was asinine on his part. Again he's kept clean for awhile, but it's not a shock people think he's a headache worth keeping at arms length no matter what.

There are multiple people working in AEW and WWE today who have been accused at one point of sexual assault (or are actually guilty of various other crimes). So I don't think that's a reason to keep him out. As you say, it's been years since. Given the reaction last night, I also think it would be quite novel to have a heel people actually dislike, rather than the sort of pantomime situation that you get with MJF etc. (although I think Enzo would turn that around quite quickly too).

Mr "Consensual Penis"? (Emphasis on the "penis" as by all accounts he's a complete and utter one)
No thank you.

There was nothing substantiated in Enzoās case, police looked into it and decided not to file charges. Doesnāt mean heās innocent, but there was not enough there to move forward. I think what was ultimately substantiated in Enzo's situation was that he hooked up with a 19-year-old fan and didn't handle the ramifications especially well. Nothing criminal or even necessarily wrong with that, but it's definitely always going to be an albatross around his neck. Nothing whatsoever has ever really been substantiated against Darby other than him having been in a toxic relationship that ended poorly. I don't personally believe either one deserves to be permanently blacklisted from the industry, and I guess my thought on Enzo is that I am not, like, clamoring for him to be hired or anything, but I wouldn't be upset in the slightest if they did bring him in. I think he could be a very positive contributor to the company and would instantly slot as one of the top heels. Enzo is 35-years-old now. He hasn't really had any issues at all since he left WWE (other than his rap career, amirite?). I think he'd be the perfect foil for Max Caster to finally turn face against.

On a short leash? Maybe. I generally want to give people chances, but I don't want the guilt-by-association when they blow it.
