Barry Windham has always been my favorite wrestler. People sometimes don't know who he is, but even when they know him, he usually doesn't make people's top 50. I was a huge Barry fan too but I feel like him leaving companies hurts his appeal, like fans will tend to forget him compared to Arn and Ric or not remember him as at all. He left WWF after he and Mike were the main tag team. What he did afterwards is pretty fuzzy for me. He was with JCP for maybe 2-3 years before leaving for WWF. Then, he's only with them just a few months. Another 3 years with WCW and he's gone again. He makes one random appearance at Slamboree 94 (to the awesome future Arn Anderson music) but I feel like fans literally gave him the Grandmaster Sexay Raw treatment with their response to him. He had just been champ less than a year ago but was forgotten that quickly. He shows back up in WWF with the silly Stalker gimmick. WWF realized quick they need to just make him Barry Windham with the gimmick and in less than two years he's gone from WWF again. I can't see any of his leaving being the company not wanting him/releasing him. He was always a great hand and one of the more talented guys before 1994. The better said about late 1990s or early 2000s WCW the better but he was with Curt Hennig in the Rap is Crap group and really Curt was pretty much the only star in that one, in terms of being entertaining. Barry definitely lost something about 6 or 7 years earlier. I've discussed this often. Barry Windham's career changed when his father and brother went to jail for counterfeiting in 1989. He quit WWF, where he was going to get a push as Widowmaker, and then took time off. He came back to WCW, but his heart wasn't in it. I could tell right away in 1990, in his first matches, he was different. I was HUGE into him in 1984 Florida, 1987 Mid Atlantic, 1988 Four Horsemen (which may be my favorite thing ever), 1989 Widowmaker, but by the time he was back in Horsemen, a part of him was lost forever. A lot of people say it's because he married a rich woman and didn't care about the sport, but I think a lot of is him being "changed" psychologically by his family's jail sentence.

They're not my absolute favourite of all time, but I love the Kenzo Suzuki/Rene Dupree tag team more than most people considerable reasonable. One of my highlights of fandom is that I actually saw them at a house show during their run.
It's the only evil foreigner gimmick I've ever loved in wrestling, because they got huge heel heat for loving America. Not obviously insincerely like the Rougeaus, but just cutting chintzy rah-rah I LOVE AMERICA promos to deafening boos. So many great little touches, too: Kenzo's goofy Uncle Sam outfit, the flags in Hiroko's hair, Rene teaching Kenzo the French Tickler (to an audible pop when he finally did it), their having a faceoff against Rene's former teammates La Resistance on a crossover show, even their mashup theme song. So great, too beautiful for this sinful world.
(I also have a lot of love for the Rico/Charlie Haas team from this time period, Smackdown had a good thing going with makeshift tag teams for a bit there.)

Wanna know who my favorite wrestling manager of all time is?
It's not Bobby Heenan. It's not Miss Elizabeth. It's not Paul Bearer. It's DEFINITELY not Paul Heyman?
Give up?
It's Truth Martini.

I was generally a fan favorite kid, but for whatever reason I still loved Rick 'the Model' Martel. I gladly cheered him over a sympathetic Jake Roberts at WrestleMania VII.

The New Breed - Chris Champion & Sean Royal. That tag team had so much potential, but Champion's injury derailed them. I was devastated when that happened. I was hoping theyβd at least get a run with the US tag belts. Loved those belts.

Being a young HBK mark in the mid-90s, once he left and X-Pac came back Pac became my guy (not even realising it was 1-2-3 Kid at first, since again I was a child) and stayed my guy all throughout Attitude no matter how hot an Austin or Rock etc got, and after he turned heel and even into X-Factor and the reformed nWo he was still my favourite back then.

The Warlord is my undisputed favorite wrestler. π€·ββοΈ Hey Batista, didn't know you posted here. Have you wrapped up Guardians 3? How about them basketballs? --- Ric "The Model" Martel is my answer. It's a shame he never got the IC title.

I guess R-Truth/Ron Killings, although it shouldn't be random at all. Dude has it all. Has always looked good, can cut a promo, can be funny (rare in wrestling) amazing timing, has always been athletic, great shape. You can't poke a hole in this guy's game.
And everyone always raves about the pipebomb. Lemme drop some of my favorite facts on you guys.
R-Truth challenging John Cena in the spring of 2011 drew more than Punk's pipebomb angle. Case closed. You may try to spin this all you want, but the TRUTH is the TRUTH!
#JusticeForTruth
ACKNOWLEDGE!
The only reason R-Trut wasn't WWE champion for 434 days was a blatant C-O-Nspiracy!

Another two....Sheik Adnan and Oliver Humperdink, mostly because they are (or were in Oliver's case...RIP Red) two awesome and classy guys outside of wrestling.

My favourite wrestlers will always feature Glacier. Along these same lines, Mortis and Wrath were my favorite WCW guys as a kid. They were just so incredibly badass, and Mortis' theme is an all timer for me. My absolute favorite wrestler ever is Yokozuna. And I became a wrestling fan in an era where the most notable thing he did was break the ropes and lose to Stone Cold in a pre-PPV Free for All match.
