The way they stack the PPV shows with so many matches can be exhausting. Mania 35 levels at times.

I'd probably just compensate for the Forbidden Door issue by doing some kind of lady's night on Dynamite the week of the show. Be a good way to give them a spotlight, experiment with how ratings would do going super heavy with the division, and rest up the male side of the roster for the PPV itself. Dynamite has a pretty stable floor in terms of viewership, at this point, so a a quarterly "Ladies night" Dynamite would both freshen things up and help put to rest some of the accusations regarding TK's interest in the women's division as a whole. Hell, bring in Renee as one of the commentators for it.

Just ordered the ppv. Looks like a pretty good show.
I'm guessing Cole wins The Owen even though I'd prefer KOR or even Joe. Should be a good match either way
I hope to God Britt doesn't win it. Shit, if she makes it to the final I'll lose a ton of interest.
Said it before the tag title match is what I'm most looking forward to. Should be amazing.

[br My counter to that is that they should be super stacked because they only have 4 a year, could be be 5 a year if Forbidden Door is a successful. These shows feel like major deals, the way non WrestleMania WWE PPVs dont. It’s like having four Superbowls a year, and I love it. I don’t blame fans who get exhausted. But PPVs should be epic and AEW’s are almost always epic.

It just dawned on me that Baker and Cole could both win the Owen and be an obnoxious heel couple about it. That's what's happening, isn't it?

I can understand the concept of loading up the PPVs but even the really good AEW PPVs I usually find myself hardcore checking out somewhere along the way, with it up in the air as to whether or not the main event gets me back into it. Like All Out 2021 was an excellent show but, combined with the predictability of it, by the time the show reached Kenny / Christian I was way too drained to bother actually paying attention to it.

No to Baker winning it though.

Yeah I'm fine with Cole winning it but not the both of em.

I think the laid out matches will be incredible but the build’s been pretty lackluster w/ the exception of Wardlow/MJF and YAS Vs BCCPNP&Eddie.

My guess is Britt wins the women's and Joe wins the men's, though I could definitely see Cole taking it.

Britt making the final is fine IF this is the moment that Hayter is going to "accidentally" cost her a big match, if they still aren't ready for that let Storm and Ruby have a shot at stealing the show.

I've been pretty convinced this whole time that the plan's been for Britt to win the tournament and launch off that into feuding with Jade because otherwise there was no reason for her to even bring Jade up in that promo where she was burying everyone because she's not in the tournament.

My boy Max needs to sue. In his capacity as a referee, he was assaulted, and Wardlow didn't fulfil the requirement of beating Spears with MJF as referee. So there should be no match. It's not fair.

Jesus, that's a stuffed card. AEW normally has a stuffed card Good indication that Forbidden Door is also gonna be stacked to the gills with talent.

I hope they give Britt at most 13 mins(Ruby or Kris can work her style) otherwise she is going to kill the crowd like she did it at Revolution.

Britt gets gassed incredibly fast these days (IDK of trying to also do her dental practice as well is catching up to her), but her cardio has been noticeably bad recently. Even 13 minutes might be too much for her.
I hate to say it, but the Women’s Owen Match took a huge hit in interest imo with Britt in the finals.

Why is it just Baker's fault when Thunder Rosa was working hurt and moving at half speed? That match was a dud out the gate and the finish obviously didn't help, but it's really weird for the take to be "That was all Britt Baker's fault" You could also blame, I dunno, the fact that was match 9 on a 12 match card that had to follow CM Punk vs MJF?? But no "Baker kills the crowd"...?
