In a world where we constantly know when things are storyline these days, if this is true, and Bryan feigned being stuck in the entrance ramp for almost ten minutes? He's a god damn savant, and EVERYONE bit on it lmfao. More importantly, it means he's 100 percent fine, but holy shit man who sees the gap in an entrance ramp and is like "You know what? I can WORK with this"? Danielson's a different animal. I would never jump onto the "everything is a work" bandwagon, because, in 2022, it seldom is. But, I will just say that when this story broke I was having a hard time figuring out how that even happened without the ramp being rigged in some way. Well I hope it was a work because that means he’s OK. But I don’t really get the purpose of the work if it wasn’t part of TV. Seems like not the greatest way to entertain a crowd, having a crew of people halt the show to try to get him unstuck. And if it was a work you’d think they’d use it to have the other side take advantage and beat on him while he’s vulnerable. Oh well. (One of the places my mind went, and I really don’t remember details, but I saw something a while back about some guy who was a caver or whatever got stuck in a hole where his lower leg got trapped between two rocks and he couldn’t get it unstuck. He was alone. I can’t remember if he ended up getting free, amputating or he died and they found his video diary where he was talking about ‘I’m here all alone, I’m stuck, blah blah blah’ and he didn’t make it. But that’s what I thought of when I saw this — along the lines of ‘you’d think if your foot/leg fit into this spot you could get it out, but that’s not necessarily how it works.’)

Bryan's a weird enough dude that I can absolutely buy him doing this for ten minutes as a goof and a spoof or to analyze human reactions to such a thing if it's true this whole thing was him f***ing around.

Bryan’s the same guy who in his first match back. Took a back bump and laid on the ground clutching his head in pain to scare people that his concussion history had f***ed him up.
So yeah I wouldn’t put it past him.
But like…..if was a joke, why? Oh I got ya! cool?

It makes absolutely zero sense that this would be a work

So yeah I wouldn’t put it past him. But like…..if was a joke, why? Oh I got ya! cool? I just think we have so little information at this point, that we're all just kind of baselessly surmising about what happened based upon (contradictory) tweets from people who were, or allegedly were, there. If the match airs, and it becomes part of the story of the match that Bryan is stuck and, therefore, can't help out his team, I'd be inclined to think it was a work. This would make sense if he was "stuck" for a total of 10 minutes, but, like 6-8 of those minutes were when the show was still airing. If the match airs, and its glossed over entirely, I'll be inclined to think it was legitimate. Anyway, I'm not sure it matters much as long as Bryan is alright. And if it was a legit incident, I agree with those who say that the design of the ramp should be altered in the future.

Idon't think it was a work. But I could see if his leg got stuck accidentally, and he just started selling an injury, either out of instinct or because he didn't just want to sit there like a goon waiting for someone to get him free. I could see it being a work to that extent.
If it was a planned work, that's just dumb.

It makes absolutely zero sense that this would be a work Agreed, only thing that might have been a work and the part I assumed reports were referring to was the selling the leg as that can be explained by Bryan being an absolute pro.

If I had to guess why it was a work, it would be a scenario where he was supposed to fall between the stage and then purposefully kept himself stuck there for as long as possible as a rib.

Bryan is a weird dude. That's why this being a work is somewhat plausible.

He gave Kingston the finger on his way out, so hopefully he is ok. Being fair, that’s just how you greet Kingston. His own mother flips him off when he comes over for Christmas. Will you STOP?!?

I don't think it's a work because that's stupid, but I can definitely see Bryan pretending it's a work.

Alvarez elaborated on Observer Live. This was not planned. Bryan just decided to pretend to get stuck and act like he couldn't get out. No one knows why.

Honestly, since AEW does a lot of silly house-show-style stuff at the end of tapings, it'd make perfect sense to me that Bryan would run with the mishap and play up getting stuck ... if he was still a heel. You get a lot of "bad guys embarrassing themselves" type shtick when the cameras are off.
What makes it weird is the BCC drifted to tweeners-leaning-face pretty quickly, so it's a bit of a mismatch in that sense.

What happens if he actually gets hurt in match and the opponent thinks he's joking and grabs him the wrong way and hurts him more?
yes it's semi hyperbolic and it's unlikely but remember Beth dragged an unconscious Candice Michelle who always at the time had a broken collarbone into the middle of the ring like a rag doll?

CM Punk pretended to be knocked out for ages last week on Dynamite's post-show. Maybe this just some weird contest they're having and Bryan decided to try and top it.
