Shows finding its rhythm again, really enjoyed this week's episode. The literal sword of damocles moment was hilarious

{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}After showing the "Son of Sam" card in her purse, I'm wondering if Alice is, in fact, the killer...or, another red herring?

Like, it’d be easy to say she’s a possibility but it also feels like a red herring.

{Spoiler}New Yorkers with the last name of Russo are always causing problems.
If Jane Lynch wasn’t already nominated for an Emmy, I’d give her the Emmy nod for the breakup. Really fun TV.
Also. NONE OF THAT IS OK, ALICE, HOLY SHIT!
Now the mystery is Who was the guy who got glittered and wanted the evidence? They didn’t seem to unmask during the whole incident at the end so it’s a total blank.

Seriously, Alice...WTF WAS THAT BULLSHIT?!
That entire scene where they're on a stakeout was great, especially when the glitter bomb went off(also, I have to admit, it took me a few minutes to get the Mariah joke).
I have to imagine, that there's video of that masked guy either threatening or about to attack Mabel.
I also liked the Poppy/Cinna stuff. I like that they always have someone different narrate each episode.

{Spoiler}Aww, I kind of wanted the baby to be named Kareem…
Theo and Mabel wasn’t a dynamic I expected but it works. Both are struggling with tragedies and family issues, both are trying to find themselves and even through misunderstandings, have a better understanding of the other.
It does make their trip more interesting because the suspects seems to be lowered down. Would be weird if it was Alice (even though she did say she lied about a lot so she could still be working there somewhat?) but I still have a feeling about Nina’s husband. He looks to fit the “mould” of the glitter guy.
We do have some confirmation it wasn’t Mabel, now hopefully she can figure out what happened in the subway and maybe she saw who was there?
A slower episode for sure but with Lucy in danger and a blackout across New York, we’re heading towards the end game now.

And clearly Oliver and Charles don't know what perjury is, since they wouldn't have committed it by lying to Detective Williams. That would be Obstruction, they weren't under oath, so it couldn't be perjury.

Like, literally the only other person I could think of is Oscar but the hand did not look like his and it'd be weird to have him brought back now at this point after missing most of the season so...

My sister is slowly catching up with this season and she reached 4 and 5 so I’m getting texts saying “_________!” and me responding “I KNOW!”

{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}Very Good Episode this week!
We know, that why the others may be fair weather fans, Marv's OMITB 4 LIFE!
It was good seeing other characters a little more than usual. The parts with Howard & the new guy, and Nina & Lester, were nice moments. As was, everyone singing "The Sound of Silence".
Lucy finally told Charles she was in the building the night Bunny died, thankfully. I liked that Marv, of all people, saved her from Glitter Guy. Speaking of, Detective Kreps just may be our culprit. That should make for a very interesting last couple episodes!

HOLY SHIT! {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}Cinda Canning is the Mastermind! She paid Kreps to kill Bunny. I guess we'll find out why in next week's season finale!

{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}I am sitting here thinking through the finale. It felt like they gave away the twist at the Becky reveal in 9. I think they were less interested in the murder this season, even with the beautiful Bunny-centered episode. It felt like they cared more about character exploration and there is nothing wrong with that, but the motive was weak. Bunny died for a podcast or a promotion or because Becky/Poppy wanted to kill someone?
The sandwich thing is fine if Bunny didn’t know anything else about Poppy. I assume they met about the painting as a way for Poppy to get to know Bunny. Or that was the moment she decided then she’d be an easy target and the 3 could be framed? It’s unclear? But how would Poppy know she had it? If that was the “owner’s sister’s favorite sandwich”, who was it for? Cinda? Did she order it knowing that about her and her weird sandwich orders and used it to try and frame her? The whole thing feels like it needs to be unraveled and explained a bit more and the red herrings addressed. All of a sudden Alice was part of the reveal with the Son of Sam thing? It’s just weird. Unless it all comes back up in season 3.
Speaking of, who is the “her” they were talking about with the Paul Rudd character and what did he do? Charles was quite agitated and they didn’t like each other. Lucy? She was there in the crowd though. As was Mabel and Joy and they didn’t seem bothered by seeing him. Maybe Lucy’s mom and maybe that’s the guy she married? Did Jan somehow poison him too or teach Charles how? Is that the “her”? Alice? The 1989 Denver Broncos?
Edit (30 minutes later): I am now rewatching the finale.
The trio genuinely thought it was Cinda until the call from Williams and then reached out to Cinda to get her buy in.
The “owner’s sister’s favorite sandwich” line still stands out too much to be a throwaway. Unless, the emphasis shouldn’t be on who, but bunny’s reactions to it. It was so weird that bunny made a comment about as “freak food” and Poppy was indeed a freak.
Poppy’s eyes and “are you really doing this?” to Mabel stands out now. I like them telling Cinda they are recording now that we know she’s in on it. “How’s middle America going to get it” and point at Poppy. The way Cinda pushed Poppy’s button’s was brilliant. The way Becky’s accent comes out when revealed was great acting. The motive of her becoming more famous (I guess by impressing Cinda and getting her own show?) and Kreps getting promoted makes more sense, but is still thin and a lame reason to kill an old lady (even if she was “mean”, like they said). In all, the finale was better than I thought initially, but the season story was uneven and I wish there was more to the motive then “I just wanted to make a good podcast.”

Very Good Episode! {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}The Killer Reveal Party(which, not only revealed the killer, but was killer) was a great scene. The reveal of Becky/Poppy being the killer was a surprise. Liked the ending scene, too. As soon as I saw Paul Rudd...I knew he was about to die. Mabel took the words right out of my mouth, at the end.

They best have gotten their cakes.
And next season we're gonna get Paul Rudd flashbacks (we have to), him interacting with the main 3 is a level of awesome reserved for few.
Hopefully Selena doesn't get overlooked in the Emmy nominations again for this season. All 3 should have gotten nominations for last season, and they should get nominations for this season.

Just a head’s up to fans of the show. The Only Murders podcast by Straw Hut media has a good interview with the show runner and he explains some points. I found it helpful and it confirmed some of my thoughts and ideas. It’s a good listen if you want to dive in deeper.
