Hey look, Jeff Jarrett might actually draw a dime. Actually, turns out we've misheard it all these years.

I look forward to this. If nothing else, it might give us like, a third or fourth Jeff Jarrett joke.

Watched this last night, and thoroughly enjoyed it.
They brought up the "supposed" heat between them, the story of Jerry paying Austin less than he expected, an unexpected talk of Owen and Over The Edge, the Chyna fued, Jeff's back and forth with WWF and WCW.
Strongly recommend checking this one out.

Glad Jeff is doing okay these days. He seems genuinely happy. I was surprised to hear him even mention Debra for obvious reasons, but it's good he did since she was so important to his Attitude persona. Also, I'm sure he's talked about it somewhere else already, but hearing that the Owen stuff affected him in ways he didn't realize until years later was sad to hear. It was nice to spend a little time talking about Owen and the lead-up to Over the Edge. I really wish I went to that Chicago show to see his last match against Edge & Christian.

I guess it's easy to forget that, even outside of Owen, Jarrett's been in the wrestling business for so long that he's probably had tons of friends and colleagues die untimely deaths, but obviously, Owen was a whole other situation entirely.

I was surprised they didn't talk about the other heat though people always bring up from the 97 shot promo, and you noticed they showed the promo but not the part where he mentioned Austin. It leads me to believe that was true that it pissed Austin off and Jarret most likely understood and respected that he shouldn't have done that.

It's possible, though it also could just be that they were fiercely protective of Austin, character-wise. Like, WWE edited a segment where The Rock's sunglasses fell off, Mankind picked them up to hand to him, and The Rock said, "The Rock thanks you" a few years later, ostensibly to not make The Rock look less cool, even if it would have been an interesting character moment. But yeah, obviously Austin himself was also protective of his aura, etc, and might have made the call. I'd love to know whose decision it was.
