Man, I love Ray Liotta.
"Goodfellas" is obviously a classic, "Field of Dreams" and "Cop Land" are great movies, Tommy Vercetti is one of the biggest reasons GTA became the powerhouse franchise it has, but "Observe and Report" is an underrated masterpiece in my mind. Firmly believe it would have been received VERY differently with a different lead, or even just made later in Rogen's career.
This is a real bummer. I think it might finally be time to sit down and have my lady watch "Goodfellas." Been meaning to do it, just haven't had the time.
Rest in peace, Mr. Liotta. Thank you for some absolute legendary films.

Thinking of Tommy Vercetti telling Diaz in GTA VC that his VCR won't work because it's not plugged in.

He did a lot of great work. But every minute of Goodfellas is etched in my memory. It’s an iconic performance in an iconic movie. RIP, Ray.

God damn it. I just got around to watching The Many Saints of Newark a week or two and was surprised to see him pop up in a double role. He still had it. What an icon. RIP. Yeah, I noticed that too. Also, in Many Saints, not sure if makeup or not, but did you get the vibe he didn't look healthy?

IMO Liotta's best role is in Something Wild, he was insane in that.
Definitely one of those actors who surprisingly didn't have a bigger career, especially after a string of hits.

What the f***! R.I.P.
Everyone loves Goodfellas, but his performance in Something Wild is also amazing.

It is being said he passed away in his sleep while filming in DR Glad he went peacefully. One of those guys who really had a good career. It's funny, he talked about in the past regretting blowing off an offer to potentially play Batman in the '89 movie, but had he done it, I wonder if he would have missed out on Goodfellas. Difficult to say.

RIP.
But for some unknown reason I now can't help but think about he was hilariously miscast as a evil wizard in that god awful Uwe Boll Dungeon Siege film.

It wasn't a huge role, but I thought I did a great job as George's dad in Blow. A great performer! RIP

RIP. But for some unknown reason I now can't help but think about he was hilariously miscast as a evil wizard in that god awful Uwe Boll Dungeon Siege film. That movie was astonishingly bad. Hope he got a big check for it, though I feel like after Goodfellas, he could just do whatever he wanted since his legacy was secured then and there.

Yeah I was shocked with how he looked in it tbh...I get it could be makeup but his roles weren't characters who were "ill" though.

I do as well because it seems like he tried to make the most of being in shitty film by hamming it up to the ninth degree.
