Then A WILD SLAPNUTS RETURNS...
(must have saw what happened to MITB, thought of 15% full stadiums in Vegas and thought, seems familiar)

Keep in mind Jeff Jarrett is responsible for a lot of the policies that made people hate TNA, both from the fan and talent perspective, putting in place the dixie era policies and then creating new ones for Anthem that lead to the only draws they had in the broken Hardys leaving, and that's without the neverending GFW BS. I may be a defender of Jarrett as an in ring performer, but Jarrett is not someone who should be in a position of power, this is bad news for everyone.

1993: Jerry Jarrett nearly takes over control of the World Wrestling Federation in the shadow of the steroid trial 2023: Jeff Jarrett, hiding in plain sight in his live events role and making sure Shane, Stephanie, and Hunter stay off the board, finally fulfills his father's destiny 30 years and multiple rival promotions later and takes over WWE
Wrestling has more than one royal family!

'Money in the Bank' soon to be replaced by 'King of the Mountain', & commentary will begin referring to AJ Styles as "a rising young star" & "the future" with immediate effect.

to think Vince publicly fired JJ on live television over 20 years ago and now he's a high ranking person in the WWE is just mind-boggling

Double J in WWE as a "high level exec?"
As long as it's Vince's show, it won't matter.

I get why people are shitting on this, but TNA and GFW and everything else that Jarrett has had control over have always been able to bat way above their league in terms of getting arenas booked. The dude could sell shit to a toilet.
Also, blaming him for anything in TNA after 2008 is absurd.

Man I was really hoping for a return of Global Force Wrestling. Kongo Kong vs. Jamin Olivencia for the Global Championship could sell out any baseball park.

Whilst Jarrett's track record in the 'business' side of things is.. inconsistent at best, I believe even in a higher up executive role he will still have a lot of other to answer to. So he will likely be making substantial decisions, but ones that are inline with the standards and policies already in place in the company. He's not going to be implementing any drastic changes, at least not with the go ahead from Vince/Khan, or whomever is directly above him.

Again, I think it should be pointed out, his role literally involves helping with putting together live events. I really don’t think they have people like that on the booking team or a voice in there.
“But what about Kevin Dunn?” you might say. And my response to that would be “Touché”.

I mean, do they? Wouldn’t that mostly go down to the agents to report that to management, being the ones who set up the matches? This is the problem with it being so vague, you can say it’s one thing, I can say it’s another and since this stuff’s done internally, nobody really knows.

Trish Stratus has talked about it in interviews before, but then again that’s 16 years since she was a full time talent so it might have all changed. Yeah, it’s all guess work.
