Why's everyone seem to want to live out that Ted DiBiase article from The Wrestler in 1986? You know the one. Being born in 87, I don't. One of the Apter mags ran a headline, "Ted DiBiase: I Know I'll Die In The Ring" (it was about his dad's fate and his fears as a result)

Hey now, not just parishoners. He and his kids stole money from every tax payer in Mississippi.

Deleted the majority of my original post. Has it been proven Ted Sr. was involved in the scam?

There's zero mention of him wrestling again, unless you decide to take "return to the ring" completely literally. Even then, in his current state a managerial/speaking role might still be pushing it. He seems fine talking on his podcast. He meanders a bit with some tangents here and there but his long-term memory at least seems perfectly fine.

Deleted the majority of my original post. Has it been proven Ted Sr. was involved in the scam? It depends what we're calling "involved". He himself did not actively commit the fraud; that was one of his sons and other people who worked in the department. But his ministry absolutely received two million in grants with no bidding, and that money meant for welfare programs went not to any church-organized welfare programs, but to speaking engagements and ministerial wrestling shows. Ted Jr got speaking engagements and lined up for his self-help seminars in front of government employees too. It's hard to imagine he didn't know the money was dirty, not the least of which because overpriced "speaking engagements" are exactly how money like this gets moved on the down low.

Dude needs his daughter to travel with him so he doesn’t get lost Wrestling sounds like a terrible idea All I'm hearing is "Foley is as fit as Ibushi" Put em in the G1!

I love everything you've given to the industry. If you want to come back to TV to do something on air, fine... but no bumps, please!

Doesn't really sound like he means wrestling it sounds like he just doesn't want to appear on TV period unless he loses weight

So y'all should listen to the podcast because: 1. It's good 2. It provides the context
He's talking about how he gained weight during the pandemic and how it bummed him out but it's not as painful as it was when he was that big with his original knees. He also talked about how Vince was proud of him for dropping the weight and how he'd only end up back on TV if he was 300 pounds or under. It sounded entirely like he was talking about a cameo/GM role and not wrestling again. That's clearly done. He talked about being glad he was on the no contact list in the same podcast.

Good to hear this. Even if Mick gets lost cutting a promo, it’s better than him participating in any type of match even if he doesn’t do any bumps.
