That may have been the most irresponsible thing I've ever seen in a wrestling ring, and I was front row for David Arquette's one and only deathmatch where he finished a match with a hole in his neck.

If Cody ever gets half his body bitten off by a tyrannosaurus rex, you can bet your ass half of him will make the match

He probably shouldn't have wrestled. I'm a little surprised that Seth didn't win as well since Cody might be gone for 6 months and Seth really could use the win.

Like props to Cody for going out there, but that looked awful before the match and it looked worse as the match went on. I'd be shocked if he isn't out till at least the fall... unless he has Cena's healing factor At best he'd probably be out a couple months but after this he could easily be out for over a year if it's slow to recover.

I’m going to wait till we hear more from actual medical professionals but I have to assume they were like “it can’t get much worse structurally” which is why he went through with it.

Great match, but it shouldn’t have gotten to this point. Like, people would understand if the scheduled match couldn’t happen, they can f***ing see why it would’ve been cancelled.
I don’t know if it’s stubborn pride or some need to prove something to Vince, dude should’ve just stayed in a hospital bed.

Which highlights the toxic culture that's so pervasive in this company, but I digress.

I assume doctors said it can get no worse and Cody was like f*** it, let me do it It was def Cody stubborn pride, as soon as he got to the curtain he probably had people ready to carry him to the hopsital

Oh yeah, Cody is absolutely going to be pushed to the f***ing moon when he gets back after this, but that's more of a damning indictment of the company's approach to this stuff than anything.

This is WWE, where a match can and does simply vanish off of PPV cards for a myriad of reasons, and where scripts are sometimes not finalized during the airing of a show. And this time of all times, they just have to see a match through? Insanity. Recklessness. That's unbelievably irresponsible and it shouldn't have happened even if Cody really super wanted it to. Cody's developing a real track record that dudes who still go in their sixties and take stuff, unprotected chair shots leave everyone wincing over. This is insane. Dude's got a child, there's no reason to be doing that to his body.

honestly, at this point hopefully it's just a partially torn pec and that's it. The bruise was getting worse as the match went and Cody's chest was practically glowing by the end of the match. When you get that much of an injury your body will compensate so hopefully Cody avoided everything else.

Corey's "Sometimes you take off for an injury but Cody's BEING A MAN and wrestling tonight" felt straight from Vince.
