Guess my question is, does anybody here subscribe to a wrestlers or wrestling YTers patreon or something similar? I know subscribing to an OF is something not everyone will want to admit though).
For me I see it as a way of showing support of someone I'm a fan of
The only person I've been a patreon of is Killer Kelly, who I've followed to Fanhouse. She is super nice

I haven't done it before, personally, but I am also not against the idea, necessarily, like I might look into it sometime.

I've thought about it but it would have to be something that I really, really like to be worth the money.

I am not personally. Most do not seem to have the rewards that would make a subscription worth it for me.

I mean, I've supported different people over the years, but right now, I keep my support very limited based on consistent content and stuff that I like while maintaining a budget. However, I also have done it with people that don't offer rewards and instead use it as a means to support a project or to supplant their living.

For several months I’ve been a YouTube channel supporter of Anthony “Don Tony” DiBlasi. Listened to his audio shows (before podcasts were a thing) for 20 years.
As for Patreon itself I support a handful. Cereal At Midnight, Hack The Movies, Stop Skeletons From Fighting, Rerez and Cinema Sickness.

I've been on the GCW Patreon for a bit. First access to tickets and the somewhat monthly autographed postcards have been pretty nice perks, as well as an invitation to attend a show that wasn't available to the general public.

That was how they sent out invites for the Backyard wrestling shows, right? Yes, except for the 2019 show which predates the Patreon. That was just people in the Northeast that Brett knew were long timers. Though in this case, it wasn't a Backyard show, it was a show that was originally scheduled to be a socially distanced show in late 2020, but had to be changed to a closed-set show due to the winter bump in COVID cases. After getting a headcount of local talent to act as a crowd members, they had some spots leftover before hitting the mandated max capacity, so Brett went on the Patreon and asked if anyone in the local area wanted to attend, and I jumped on it, mostly for the novelty of actually attending a closed set show that wasn't available to the public.

I was for a few years for OSW, the Attitude Era Podcast, New Generation Project and Wrestling With Wregret but that was before more financial responsibilities got in the way.

The only show I've ever considered supporting on Patreon is The Lapsed Fan. I keep saying I'm going to do it, but I haven't pulled the trigger yet.

Podcast ones too. Mostly lackluster. Rewards aren't worth it, or half assed. Exclusive content is often plentiful but nothing you'd care about. Sometimes you might get a nice perk or two. In the end of you like the person and wanna support em? Subscribe. Or even better if you can contact them directly just send the money instead. If you like and wish to support someone you don't gotta get rewarded for it.

I am a patron for WrestlingBios, mostly because I think Reliving the War is the single best wrestling-related project on the internet. Some weeks I enjoy it more than anything AEW or WWE puts on television.
I also am in the $3.16 tier for The Lapsed Fan. I travel quite a bit for work, and there's nothing better for long car trips than their particular brand of 12-hour podcasts.

Funny story, I started watching Twitch last year (for Limmy) and then, as one of my wrestling faves, started occasionally watching Colt Cabana on there. One night I was lying on my bed with his stream on my phone, which was just sitting on my chest at one point and I wasn't paying attention at all until out of nowhere suddenly hearing Colt saying my name. Was surreal and also being in an altered state took me several moments to realise that someone gifted ten subs and he had read out all the names I guess. So I was a subscriber in name for Colt for one month til that ran out.

I support The Wrestler Review. Good show that’s been going on for over six years, they did a year long insight into Vince for 2020, and five bucks for episodes ahead of time and special episodes is pretty good.

I signed up to numerous wrestler OFs during the first lockdown.
I still periodically sign up for brief periods to a few.
Nearly two years in to supporting Jordynne Grace on Patreon.

I do give to a bunch of Patreons, but none wrestling-related, mostly because I have other avenues to support wrestlers I really like like merch that actually looks good, and I contend that almost no Youtuber or podcaster has actually good, wearable merch, so I get my support in that way.
