Tsuji turned on Shooter at RevPro. They were tagging together, but Tsuji has now aligned with The Legion, which is the same faction O-Khan was part of during his excursion.

Good on YOH getting some measure of revenge, at least. Still one of the biggest misfires of a tag team breakup in a while, but it's something.

Trying to finally catch back up with NJPW, feel like the G1 final is as good a time as any although money's tight so I'm unsure about NJPW World. Few things stand out to me in my pretty long absence (I haven't seen anything since Naito dropped the title back in 2020).
Can anyone give me a few shows or matches to specifically seek out and catch up on? I know 2 1/2 years is a long time and I've missed a lot, I'm familiar with a few basics: -Naito is still never gonna be the guy, is 2nd fiddle to Shingo now -Sanada still never been given the ball -Hiromu keeps getting hurt, Despy has surprisingly stepped up -EVIL shat the bed with a title run -Jay White and Will Ospreay have been knocking it out of the park, Okada has been a bit quiet -Ibushi had a good start to the year but then lost his mind -Tanahashi is still soldiering on -ZSJ and Taichi are a fun team, ZSJ in general seems to have improved an unreal amount since I last watched him and is finally close to being everything I ever wanted from him
Anything else? I know Ospreay has a faction, JONAH is unexpectedly getting the megapush, but that's it.

I know Ospreay has a faction, JONAH is unexpectedly getting the megapush, but that's it. -Shingo's been established as a heavyweight, but he's slid back down the card and Naito's probably winning the G1. - SANADA is vastly improved, but it really feels like he's hit his ceiling as an upper midcard guy. - I'd argue surprising, but Despy is well established now as the 1b junior to Hiromu's 1a. - That he did and now he's basically a joke heel character. - Okada's block wasn't well suited for bangers but he's had incredible storytelling based matches. His matches with Cobb, JONAH and Lawlor were all fantastic, but from different perspectives. Really shat all over everyone who argued 'Okada only does one match'. He's had incredible matches throughout the year. White and Ospraey have been more than delivering. - Ibushi... has more important things to deal with than wrestling right now. Boy's not well. - Tanahashi is still the ace and still the guy. - Now Suzuki-Gun are basically faces, or at least fighting heels now, ZSJ has allowed his inner dickhead to be more entertaining and it's incredible. Ospreay has a faction, I dig it. Henare has really elevated himself in this G1 O'Khan is awesome and sucha unique talent. Ospreay has... issues as its known but there's no question he's a world class wrestler at this point. JONAH is purpose built for New Japan and has fit in perfectly. David Finlay is proving me wrong at least and showing that he's a potential upper midcard babyface. Tama Tonga is likely getting a big win the finals and is having an incredible fiery baby face run. Despite all this however, the continued clap crowds and that its easy to see incredibly good quality matches on AEW weekly means NJPW is still struggling to rediscover it's audience, at least internationally.

SANADA got hurt, which set him back. He had the US title and was probably going to get to shine with that a bit. Part of me wouldn't be that surprised if they had him beat Karl Anderson and get the NEVER title to try to let him do more or less what he would have done with the US title.

Would be happy for Naito to win, always been a fan of the guy. Still don't like blonde beardy pirate Sanada, I know he's looked like this for ages and it fits the LIJ group aesthetic better but I definitely preferred his all-black clean shaven look. I was always fond of Desperado just never expected him to be the #2 junior, figured that would be Ishimori honestly. Completely agree on ZSJ's personality coming out from what I've seen, in my catchup efforts I've sought him out more than anyone, he's gone from 'bags of talent but does the little things wrong' to actually getting them all down- gained muscle mass, is expressive in the ring, has found a character that works. Would be happy for him to win the G1 too honestly, he's such a perfect dickhead. Glad Finlay is doing well, surprising that Henare and Tama are finally turning the corner, can't imagine Tama as a face.
