Yeah, I'm not going to say this is definitely him done for, but it probably puts him in deeper shit than he's been in for a couple of decades. Since before he had shareholders to answer to, basically.

Sadly I really doubt anything whatsoever will come of this. At most Laurinaitis will be a sacrificial lamb but even then I'm not really expecting it. Yup. There are people comparing it to Activision Blizzard without realizing that the board openly voted to keep Bobby Kotick in charge of the company, because he was making them tons of cash. And in the case of WWE, the networks likely aren't going to care, because FOX has this stuff happen all the goddamn time and are ran by absolute ghouls, and NBC Universal relies heavily on WWE for their Peacock stuff along with general money making.

In before the "Stephanie/Trips leaked the story to get back at Vince" reports start. The only reason H isn’t mentioned is because he can’t get it up anymore.

I'm not sure what the minority shareholder is hoping to achieve here.
Vince wont go without a fight, a fight will destroy the value of the stock, the minority shareholder likely wont benefit from this, I wouldnt have thought.
I feel like this goes away pretty quickly outside of Johnny possibly being a fall guy. I cant see a handful of minority shareholders tanking themselves for a moral fight with Vince over $100k.
But hey, I might be wrong, and this may be the big plan behind Steph going.
Steph has walked away to be clear of this shitstorm, Vince puts up half a fight, but if it looks like it's going badly, he agrees to walk away as long as she comes back to take over his roles.
Or Nick Khan found the details, he's leaked the details and he plans to swoop in!

Surely a Johnny Ace release would be admitting guilt though? So I'd be surprised. Sacrificial lamb to stop the bleeding. All Vince or Nick would have to do is claim that Johnny Ace was the instigator of it all (no matter how flimsy the excuse would be). That being said, this article will likely put a pretty significant damper on, if not outright kill WWE's NIL program, so I sure hope WWE likes having to grab talent from the indies again! Because I doubt big name colleges/universities are going to want their name attached to this mess.I think you're giving universities too much credit when ti comes to stuff like this. Remember Michigan still has Bo Schembechler's statue up.

This is REALLY bad, and the worst part about it, is a lot of people's reactions being "Well he'll probably just get away with it and nothing will come of it"
That's just where we're at with someone like Vince McMahon and it's really sad... I really hope this gains traction and Vince and Johnny eat shit for it.

That’s also why I chuckle when people say WWE is going to take a bath on the next batch of tv contracts. Their ratings are only bad compared to their old ratings, compared to the rest of tv these days, they’re pretty satisfactory. And NBC Universal probably need them right now.

If it genuinely was all consensual (let's put aside the power imbalance of a lower-ranking member of staff being approached by the big boss for this hypothetical) then it's scummy, but potentially something the board won't care about as long as it wasn't company cash paying them off. If anyone involved says they were coerced or forced though, it becomes something entirely different.

Because there absolutely is nothing.

They do still have Miz and Mrs though.

People have been predicting that Vince was going to be screw up at some point yet here he still. Until I see him gone over him doing awful stuff I won’t believe it. HOWEVER old Johnny ace, well if this is true then he’s in a spot of bother and frankly I won’t be sad if he does get his marching papers for this and good riddance to someone who’s never been a good influence on WWE and in particular the woman’s division which we know he picked woman out a catalogue and hired the wrong one legged wrestler.

I mean can you blame Vince, he is the genetic jack hammer.
Joking aside, this isn't a good look for the company
