The only thing I'm glad is that Matt Hughes didn't get physically involved. Hughes is a Jeff Hardy like mess that should be getting help, not sure if he's getting any though.

My wife is a passive fan at best, but even she enjoyed it.
She said it was the kind of ridiculous crap that wrestling should embrace more of.

The rules made no sense, how it was executed was a bit of a mess and there was a lot of repeats.
But Wardlow was killing people and, frankly, nothing else mattered. It did what it was advertised to do.
Also, the People’s Court intro was 😙👌

I didn't like it TBH. Felt like it dragged on and Wardlow can do much better.

It went a little long but it was ridiculous in the best way possible. The video and post match were great. Alvarez complained that Wardlow shouldn't do comedy and while he shouldn't do it all the time, I was fine with it here. Plus you needed to do something until Sky is ready for the match and it looks like they'll fully move on to that feud now.

It sounded alot cooler on paper...Most of the falls weren't even legal and I hate the trope of guys standing there taking turns to get beat up.

Yeah i had no idea regarding the train wreck in 2017 (weirdly enough i found out he is only like an hour from my hometown as well) but I immediately knew something was off. I have never been a fan of the character of the guy but I would not wish that on anyone. I suffer from left frontal lobe encephalopathy (brain bruising/damage due to a fall) and it's hard enough as it is to deal with my nervous system now...I can't imagine my motor skills being greatly affected as well.

Yeah, the only thing that really worked well for me was the intro and then when he finally did a couple of the "powerbomb dude onto another dude" spots And I've LOVED when he has beaten up the security groups otherwise, this just didn't land for me

The biggest thing in its favour re: Wardlow and comedy is that Wardlow wasn't doing the comedy. He was Wardlow as Wardlow mowing down legions of mooks, and it was Mark Sterling doing all the comedy while dudes died around him. That made it work a lot better, I think. Sort of the vibe of Brock Lesnar squashing New Day at Beast in the East where they were comedy mooks while he was played totally serious the whole time.

I think a little more variety in the match would have been good. Like when the one guard went for a top rope move, that stood out.
Or maybe make it a battle royale instead. Then you don't have to worry about the odd pin-a-pile-of-dudes stuff. You could have a guard do the Santino self-elimination spot. A few good over-the-top-rope spots.

It wasn’t great. And a lot of the pin falls shouldn’t have counted. You can’t eliminate a guy if he’s lying on his front!
Hopefully after Forbidden Door he moves on to a more meatier feud.

Yeah, there's this truism that the big stars shouldn't be doing comedy, and I don't think it's ever really held up. It's more accurate to say that the big babyface stars should not be the butt of the joke unless there's a very good reason for it.

I wanted to see some over the top rope eliminations (well ones that stuck anyway) instead of some of those multiman pins. Would've given it even more of a Super Smash Bros feel lol.
It was dumb wrestling fun in the most dumb fun way.

I enjoyed it but yeah as far as I’m concerned the match is still ongoing as I’m pretty sure half of the security guards weren’t legally pinned
