...in archs and dialogue
There's been many characters I relate to that aren't in my specific category, looking at you Lumity
This is the last day of Pride Month so drunkenly I say, let our freak flags fly

Lammy from Um Jammer Lammy Socially awkward and shy gay lamb (confirmed by Rodney Greenblatt so that's not headcannon). Yeah, fits.

Is it weird if I can't relate to ANY fictional character? I don't even think it's that I don't want to. (It would actually be a huge relief if I could.) I've just never found one (that I have seen) to be written into a situation that really resonates with me at all.
I just worry that I'm severely lacking in general empathy, sometimes. Or that there's something else wrong with me, because other people don't seem to have this issue.

I recommend everyone to Netflix and Dead End, and that has led to many other things

See avatar, he's probably the most 1:1 I've felt with a character. Also, Sylvain from Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Touga from Revolutionary Girl Utena, and Seki from Goodnight Punpun. Problematic bi kings who all eventually get better.

Sakura Adachi from Adachi and Shimamura is an anxious, awkward mess and reading/watching every attempt to complete normal social tasks (and also more complicated feelings like crushes and dealing with crushes, etc.) I'm like oh my god, ME.

Also I don't care what Hashino's homophobic ass says, Joker from Persona 5 is a bicon. And I personally headcanon the protagonists from P3-5 as demiromantic because of the way social links/confidants work.

Just looking at my screen name should give you an idea of my answer. Hot take; it's so much better than everything after 3 that it's not even funny.

I was going to write up a review of it this month in the horror thread but in short: It does not work as a Nightmare on Elm Street movie at all, but it captures the terror and awkwardness of queer adolescence in a way that few mainstream movies wouldn't touch, even now.

Captain Raymond Holt from Brooklyn 99. Such a great character whose defining trait was that he was robotic and stodgy. Being gay for him was definitely secondary as a character trait.
He's also played by one of my favorite actors of all time in Andre Braugher.

Todd in Bojack Horseman is Ace and aside from mostly being comic relief is a pretty solid character overall.
