I am interested to see what Triple H. does as the head of creative. I think one major change we'll see is people getting called up from NXT and keeping the same character that worked for them at NXT. I think there are going to be fewer cases like Ilya Dijakovic, who was having great matches at NXT and gets called up to become T-Barr and barely used. Dominik Dijakovic. Ilya is the UK Champ and a different dude, but point absolutely still stands!

I’m seeing so much “Why excited? The end of black and gold was actually terrible” on Twitter. It’s like, even after it stopped being consistently great compared to main roster WWE of the last what.., decade? This is something to be pumped about. Even if the changes are gradual. I can’t imagine any way except up.

I hope this means we get more of guys like Ali and Ricochet. Hopefully less of PPV's built around concept matches like HiaC and so forth, saving those for special occasions, befitting current feuds. And especially Michael Cole getting a chance to come off as more like his real self.

So Haitch has the ball without having to filter everything through that crazy old man anymore. Should be interesting. He probably doesn’t need the blue pills anymore! He’s got his mojo back, baby!

I wonder if Hunter could talk Sasha and Naomi back maybe? There is better than solid chance Naomi returns. Sasha may take a bit more convincing even with Vince gone.

I'm starting to think Stephanie is the one who did Vince in. I can't believe HHH has finally done it and taken over the company.

So when does the axe fall on Kevin Dunn? Most people inside the company are expecting Dunn to be gone by the end of the year.

Good news, but I hope he cools it on the "two best friends stand next to each other and one ~SHOCKINGLY~ betrays the other" trope NXT ran into the ground

Idk if I would strap her up that quick. But what I would have is like you said debut her immediately after Summerslam but instead of giving her the title right off the bat I would have her face the loser of the title match at summerslam...have her beat that woman and then move her into winning the title. This way the audience immediately sees how big deal she is by beating the woman who just challenged for the title before going onto win it not long after. Nah. I'm not saying strap her up immediately, I'm saying have her beat the champion in a non-title match to show how much of a threat she is. I'm on board with making Io a huge threat but please no more 'non-title' matches ever again. If a singles champ loses a singles match via pinfall or submission they should lose the title. Same idea with tag champs.

Maybe now we get a Main Roster War Games match though it be perfect for Survivor Series That would be the shot in the arm that Survivor Series has desperately needed for as long as I can remember. A Survivor Series War Games match that has nothing to do with brand bragging rights would do a lot to freshen that ppv up.

Same idea with tag champs. I think they're fine, but like most things WWE has done over the years it's more that they absolutely overdo it to the point of insanity. This will certainly be interesting to see: Triple H has his health issues, and he's about to have a lot more responsibilities than a one hour developmental show and there'll be a lot more masters he'll have to please (networks, sponsors, different rosters, etc). That said, any shakeup to WWE's creative is desperately needed, and old school NXT clearly shows what Triple H would like a wrestling show to be, so we'll see how they shake out. Can't see myself getting back into WWE any time soon; Vince was arguably my biggest reason for walking away from it as a promotion, but things like the Saudi deal are still in place that I don't want to support. That said, this is a big opportunity for things to evolve in a way they haven't for this company in literally 20 years, so I don't blame anyone for being interested in what they might portend.

Non-title matches where the champ loses are a booking trope as old as time. Nothing wrong with it in theory. Just WWE beat that particular trope into the ground as they are wont to do.
