For the time being, he'll likely keep his job, if he wants it.
Bruce hasn't been officially involved in writing the shows for years. He's the executive director. That means he pulls the show together and makes it work after Vince sees all the scripts and ideas and approves or re-writes what he wants.
He stepped up to run Smackdown from a creative stance for one day when this story broke.
He's now back to being the executive director. HHHUnter will now play the Vince role for creative. The writers - who each have a head writer per show, who then in turn report to head of creative writing Christine Lubrano - will keep writing and submitting as normal. Just to HHHunter. If he brings back Road Dogg, he was head writer for SD, so would report to Lubrano. Unless he brings back Ryan Ward, in which case Lubrano would be out, as her job is what his was.
Bruce may end up losing that executive director role, and HHHunter may decide to run creative differently to how Vince did, but Bruce's official job is to take the script and make the show work. That hasn't changed as yet, and he remains pretty good and generally, seemingly, respected in that role.
Bruce will also likely lose some influence as times moves on, certainly over creative, and may have a different relationship with HHHunter than he had with Vince. As others say, clearly he had input and fought for stories and ideas, but also knew when to leave it and just get on with his job. If he can do the same, and HHHunter appreciates someone who will argue but still do what HHHunter wants even if they had a different idea, then I can't see Bruce out on his arse.

Bruce was fired from MLW a few years ago because talent complained that his ideas were too outdated. If WWE wants a fresh feel Bruce has to go. Conrad will regain full custody of Bruce.

Anytime Bruce talks I remind myself that he's been with Vince for like 40 years and he was like 20 something...I think he legit looks at Vince like his or atleast a family member so he's never going to be negative.

Yeah, plus I think the whole "Bruce is just a Vince yes-man" narrative has always been overblown. Middle management always has that reputation from their staff in any workplace, plus the whole gimmick of STTW is Bruce taking the WWE company line and Conrad taking the smark point of view and people thought it was 100% Bruce's actual opinion. Does Bruce view Vince as family and has had his judgement and tastes impacted by that? Yes. Does that mean Bruce is only capable of being a Vince puppet? No.

As refreshing as it would be to see Trips and Steph clean house, Vince is still going to be in their ear. So my expectation is the longtime Vince cronies like Bruce, Dunn, and Hayes become “consultants,” they’ll be kept around to placate Vince but they’re days as voices if any kind of influence are over.

I've known some people including my dad whom have retired at 59. I could see him retiring soon. I doubt he is hurting for money.
My guess is he sticks around a few more years, though.

I dont know if Nick Khan wants to pay a bunch of “consultants” just to keep Vince happy. So it depends on if they want to keep Vince happy that much.

He owns the majority of shares, so that'll be a yes. I am aware of that. He also has no position and is basically persona non grata. And is being investigated by the authorities. And if Nick Khan makes a financially sound decision not to employ unnecessary "consultants" just to keep Vince happy it would probably not be in Vinces best interest to try and throw his weight around right now. Besides those guys have been paid a fortune for years, probably have contracts with nice severance packages, and Dunn himself owns a nice amount of stock. They wont be thrown out on the street begging for work like Road Dogg.

He was working for Conrad doing mortgages or some shit before the podcast hit and he started getting wrestling gigs again, I doubt he's exactly set for life. His wife has a lot of health complications, his kids are both in college, he's got payments.

I'm sure that the podcast and WWE gig have done a lot to shore things up for him, but he still probably wants to keep going a while longer.

and he got screwed financially by TNA with tax issues iirc from the tna podcast From how he described it, it wasn't his tax issues, but TNA deducting his tax money and then not paying it, which would be on them. By Prichard's description, he was contacted, asked about that, and then never contacted again.

Selfishly, I'd be perfectly fine with him going back to podcasting regularly. I enjoy his show more often than not
