Peacock legitimately has probably the worst user interface of any streaming service and the worst selection of original content outside of the sports and WWE stuff. This says a lot considering Paramount+. AMC+ would like a word.

When I went to sign up for Clash at the Castle they offered me $2 a month for the next year so yeah, they seem pretty desperate for signups.

This says a lot considering Paramount+. AMC+ would like a word. Seriously, Netflix probably has the LEAST amount of shit I wanna watch, but they're still the gold standard in customer interface. I'm sure you can't outright copy it for legal reasons, but at least copy what you can, damn.

Promo code fall22 will get you Peacock for a year at $19.99. At that price, I'll go ahead and buy it.

I wanted to get the deep discount, but because I'm at the highest priced ad free tier Peacock wouldn't let me
I'm happy only paying $10 a month, but that discount would've been awesome

Since all comcast customers have it free, it kinda is what it is.

I guess I'm not surprised. The streaming market is so saturated. It seems like we're due for a huge correction that takes a bunch of these down.

Since all comcast customers have it free, it kinda is what it is. But, at least for me, it is only the ad-supported tier. If I can get the ad-free version for the year for $20... I might just do that.

Pee Cock is worse than that 2nd grade level nickname implies. I snapped up the 20$ deal under my wife's name because that's an insanely good price, but the splintering of all of these streaming services is making the general public wake up and realize that all of these media entities (NBCUniversal/Disney/Fox/Amazon/AMC/DiscoveryWarner) can't deliver enough hit shows with a high enough average to warrant your average layman having them all. Think about it this way, and I'll use myself and my viewing habits as the example: Peacock - Law and Order as my "comfort food background noise", old WWE clips, and the Universal movie library Disney+ - This one probably gets the most workout. Marvel, Star Wars, the vault, Pixar for family movie night Hulu - Whatever I like on FX and a few stragglers here and there (Archer, mostly) HBOMax - Doctor Who reruns and THEIR movie library, probably the 2nd most used service Netflix - Stranger Things, Locke and Key, Umbrella Academy, mostly. Used to be the stalwart, now rarely used. AMC+ - IFC content and that's about it. Oh, Law and Order UK Epix - Never used it even once. Bought it dirt cheap for a year. Now, just some napkin math there... that'd be 70$ a month if I paid monthly price for those, and if I were the owner of all of those accounts instead of just a user. That's literally cable all over again, except this time the public can pick and choose which "channels" they keep and which ones they don't. Peacock just doesn't stand a chance in that climate.

Peacock is losing money on WWE/Sports and non Bel Air original programming. Even if they lost half their subscribers but just was a streaming service with reality shows, and all Comcast/Universal catalog shows they would be profitable.
