There is a difference at losing in front of a Wrestlemania Record Crowd (at that time) or at a houseshow. But i agree i doubt Big Show was ever a guy to don't do the job for anyone let alone Hulk Hogan. Didn't Show even cryed at Hogan HOF Speech! I think it was more that Hogan and Vince couldn't agree on things and it just didn't happened, and honestly who would have want so see it? Hogan in 2007 had nothing to do in the Ring anymore and the Match would have been awful. I mean... Hogan put Show in the initial "Giant vs Hogan" feud. I mean... Giant beat Hogan in his first official match, for the World Title. It doesn't get bigger than that. Can you even imagine someone beating Roman in their first match ever?? He beat him by DQ and was stripped of the title almost immediately

The Big Show really should have protected his gimmick of being a giant better. The reason that the Andre slam worked is because a) few people had slammed Andre up to that point and b) those that did were either in Japan or at untelevised territory events, so it was easy to sell that no one had ever done it. Meanwhile, the Big Show was getting slammed, suplexed, power bombed and Jack hammered almost from day one. Which always made it hilarious when they would try to sell him as “who can eliminate him from the Rumble!?” The answer is everyone, because he’s been ragdolled for years. I know that he came in and was corrupted by Hogan, Nash, etc. early on and he likely didn’t really care, but he could have kept his aura for longer if he hadn’t been tossed about so often. 🤷🏻♂️ Well at the very least Show never took an Attitude Adjustment from John Cena...nope never saw that before.

I mean, I get Big Show not wanting to do the match after Hogan killed Andre 20 years earlier. But he's gotta avenge his father's death!

That was when he was trying to get Paul “The Great” Wight over and anytime someone called him ‘Big Show’, he’d say that was his “slave name”. Completely forgot all about this and now I feel like I need to find an interview from the time and slam it in to the indy cringe compilation thread because f*** DUDE LMAO Yeah, they were tearing down the Mid-South Coliseum and this was the farewell show.
