I think it's intellectually dishonest to pretend that Jamie Kellner was solely responsible for killing WCW. these 2 both had a big hand in it. if the show was still successful and making money hand over fist they wouldnt have cancelled it. I do think people now look for a single responsible party for its demise, and the reality is that there there isn't one. Hogan and a few others made it their personal vanity project, Bischoff allowed them to because he was far more naive than he realised and it wasn't his money he was spending, Russo booked what was left of it into the ground, and Kellner finally shot it in the head. And that's not taking into account all the nameless and faceless people who cocked up in various ways. The whole running of the company was a mess of people playing silly buggers, and those above them allowing them to, so it's a huge collective responsibility.

I still hold that it was ultimately one guy who was responsible. It's not a case of Verne Gagne or Paul Heyman being unable to pay their performers and going belly up. It was a multi billion dollar company that decided WCW programming was no longer a priority. Of course there were contributing factors, but at the end of the day a multi billion dollar company pulled the plug when they didn't have to. Do I blame them? No, because their objective is to make money, and they didn't know how to turn investment in WCW into profit.
