Gonna be Martel for me. I found Tito boring when I was a kid, and really enjoyed the Model. I also agreed with Martel when he said that Tito was riding his coattails, because in a lot of those old Strike Force matches, Tito was losing his temper, distracting the ref at the wrong time, just being an impediment to their success, so I saw him as inferior.

Both are great workers, both had really good matches. I'd call it a draw.

It's tough because both guys are good guys and professional but kayfabe wise and maybe reality based, Martel has to win it. Both men were around for a while in WWF (Tito much longer) but through it all, Martel evolved for the most part, changed up his gear and he left every once in a while for the summer so he would come back fresh even late in his run. Tito being made into El Matador was only as good as Tito was made out to be and he was still on the losing end of matches unless it was a jobber or a name guy like Hercules who was being jobbed out.
I can't think of one feud Tito had as a single feud Valentine. He was a guy who was just an extra in PPVs while Martel often got into feuds regularly. He stayed fresh up to late 93, early 94 and left not long after.
And now I feel pretty horrible. LOL. I've met Tito around 10 times and he's always been cordial with free photo ops. I even got to be his photographer for in ring photos he did with fans holding an AWF belt a few years ago. I think I'd rather see Tito wrestle but gimmick wise and reality bases, with Rick leaving and coming back, Rick won this thread.

I do keep saying this, but Tito was the first person to pin the undertaker.

I do keep saying this, but Tito was the first person to pin the undertaker. Hogan actually pinned him first in a TV Taping Dark Match that eventually ended up on a Best of Hulkamania Tape I had when I was a kid. That match was in July while the Tito match was in October. I know it being in Spain had a lot do with it but Tito getting that win was still really surprising. It's a really good match too. I think Warrior might have pinned him too by that point although nothing that made tape. Looks like all of their matches was Warrior winning by DQ or winning a Casket or Bodybag Match where Taker could lose without getting pinned.

Tito was never a model, was he? Case closed. No, he is not a model.
