Okay, what I am about to mention are not mentioned with good reason, but at the time, you can't deny how good some Chris Benoit matches on free TV were. vs. Shawn Michaels on Raw in February 2004. vs. Ric Flair from that same month. vs. Brock Lesnar on Smackdown in December 2003. vs. Randy Orton on Smackdown in January 2006. Hell, his match vs. Bret Hart on Nitro in 1998 was good. I know that the Owen Hart tribute match was talked about more, but that other match was still good. I remember being wowed by a Benoit vs Rikishi match, though that might be just on virtue of Benoit giving him a Northern Lights Suplex.

Mable vs Yokozuna on Action Zone in November 94. I've never been a fan of either one of these guys whatsoever, but I found this match on YouTube a few months ago and was blown away by it. It's only about 5 minutes long but it's the damndest big man match you've ever seen between two fat slobs that can usually barely get out of their own way.

The New Blood vs the ECW Originals on ECW the Tuesday after WM23 was much better than their WM23 match. Shawn vs Cena in London was much better than their WM23 match too. Any of Cena's US Title Challenge matches against Cesaro, Zayn, Neville, etc were great too. I was just thinking about that ECW match last week. What an awesome garbage match it was and how I still remember it all these years later. Hell, I bought the special edition WM23 DVD AND the Blockbuster Exclusive WM23 DVD just because the Blockbuster version had that match as an exclusive bonus. Now that same match happens 2 or 3 times every week on Dynamite and nobody remembers it by the next week. Because it happens 2 or 3 times a week. 🤦♂️

Prince Puma vs Hernandez on a random episode of Lucha Underground was so f***ing sick I still randomly mention it like 6-7 years later.

I've seen it here or there, but not that much so it's my go-to: Bret Hart vs. 1-2-3 Kid for the WWF title on Raw. Kid looked like he could have pulled out the win numerous times.

Triple H vs. The Undertaker for the IC title in February 1997 on Shotgun Saturday Night. Not a masterpiece, but great for the atmosphere and the post-match visual of HHH laid out on the escalator.

This match slapped so hard man. I remember watching it live and thinking "WTF, this has no right to be this good."

TLC III
Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho vs Edge and Christian vs The Dudleys vs The Hardys on Smackdown in May 2001.
As a kid who's only way of watching WWF was on Sky One on a Saturday morning I was buzzing that I got to watch a TLC match.

Owen vs. Bulldog European Championship Tournament Final is one of the best RAW matches ever. Any time you got the Dangerous Alliance against some combo of Sting, Steamboat, Dustin Rhodes and Barry Whindham during that feud in Late '91/'92. The Owen/Bulldog bought is brought up quite regularly as a fantastic match.

I think Jericho has said that this is one of his all time favorite matches of his career, the Benoit connection makes it hard to talk about though

This might be a hot take, but the Shield vs Wyatts rematch on Raw is superior to the PPV match for me. Talking of The Shield basically all of their matches, especially if Bryan was an opponent. A few stand out as being their best but really an average match by their standards is still better than most other TV matches.

Before ONS 2006 and the official ECW relaunch, there was an ECW vs Raw special that had an absolutely awesome RVD/Rey Mysterio match.

Waltman feels like he should be the king of this whole thread. But because his opponents always looked so good, I never even noticed he was doing it except in retrospect.

Neville and Rollins had a terrific match for the title on an episode of Raw. Like, going in I *knew* Rollins was retaining, but there was an incredible near fall that really got me for a minute
