So many. Trying to piece together what the hell people were talking about in American shows was always interesting as a kid. Iirc Fresh Prince was one that name-dropped or even cameod the most, the crowd would go wild and I'd be confused. (This does not include Tom Jones) It's wilder seeing those older shows, from late 80's to early 90's and seeing how, let's say notable WWE Hall of Famer was a punchline to some joke on almost every show. Not always negative, but always the punchline.

considering I haven't watched Ellen since the 90s, I always remember Audrey talking about Ron Palillo from Welcome Back, Kotter

As a non-American, I have a long list of ones from the Simpsons. I never knew Macgyver was a real TV show until very recently.

Pretty sure any time a celeb was referenced in the original Looney Tunes shorts on Cartoon Network were the first time I ever heard of any of them as a kid

Too many to name just from the Simpsons. Sometimes when Jeopardy! was on, I get the question right. My mom would say “How could you know that?!” It was on the Simpsons. Be it a celebrity or just random little fact.

I only know about George Stephanopoulos because of the Friends episode: The one with George Stephanopoulos.

Bad Bunny until Wrestlemania. To be fair, this applies to about 75% of the celebrities WWE have trotted out in the past decade. Bad Bunny though literally was one of the most popular people in the world though... but he's basically more proof as I've said... "the mainstream is dead" someone can have millions of fans around the world and there's still an entire section of people that have never heard of them.

I had a friend in high school who got super into Conway Twitty, for reasons I have no idea, when Family Guy started doing it, reminded me of him. He beat them by years.

Yeah, it was less a commentary on how WWE have a tendency to feature celebrities whose mainstream popularity is suspect at best and more a case of even when they do manage to book a genuine star there's about a 25% chance of me having any idea who they are. But yeah, with the greater variety of ways to find one's entertainment it is now quite easy to completely miss the rise and fall of people who would probably have been culturally unavoidable even 15 years ago.

So my wife watches this show that's currently on American TV (Claim to Fame I think?) and it's a bunch of people living in a house that are like siblings/cousins/relatives of "Big Celebrities". Some examples are like Chuck Norris, Sendaya, Whoopie Goldberg, Simone Biles etc. AKA: these are actual big celebrities that many people from many walks of life have a chance of knowing. The goal of the show is to figure out and guess who somebody's celebrity relative is.
The VERY first episode I told my wife: "I bet the winner will be some celebrity that's like half as popular as the rest". Lo and behold, it's down to like the last three and it's likely Dean Martin, Jason Aldean and a random celebrity I've never heard of: Keke Palmer. I wiki her and I see she's at least been in a lot of stuff but I have zero name recognition and I see her picture and it's drawing a blank.
So yeah, basically the winner of a celebrity based show was somebody I was completely unaware of.

At least 50% of knowing music acts in the 90’s came from All That. They introduced me to TLC, Usher, Coolio, and several others.

A lot of actors from the 70s/80s I only became aware of via watching SNL reruns as a teen. The list includes Madeline Khan, Elliot Gould, Ray Sharkey, Susan Saint James, Harry Dean Stanton, Corbin Bernsen, and many others.
