Lacey Evans exists again! Lacey just being back all of a sudden with no explanation and being announced for this match totally fits with how weird her whole run has been. I wonder why she was gone? Apparently when SRS asked about it all they would say is she hasn't been medically cleared which made me think she was maybe pregnant again but that obviously isn't the case. It wouldn't totally shock me if she wins. It does seems like it's Ronda's to lose but at the same it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility if she gets eliminated by DQ to protect her or Pearce screws her over somehow. I actually thought she'd get over as a face with those sob story promos, but the fans weren't having any of it (especially at MITB where she was the only one who got booed). Huge L for me, but I'll own it.

I mean they could replace Lacey with Charlotte as well. Problem is that no one actually misses her right now, because she is a constant anchor around the divisions, holding everyone else down. Lacey just being back all of a sudden with no explanation and being announced for this match totally fits with how weird her whole run has been. I wonder why she was gone? Huge L for me, but I'll own it. I mean the sob story stuff probably would have worked if she wasn't changing her story every other week. One week her father abandoned her and she had to drop out of high school. And then the next her father was highly supportive of her and she was graduating at the top of her class.

Oh, it definitely would be, but a lot of people are going to be slighted on Morgan’s behalf if she drops the belt for that match to happen. Especially if it’s in a match structured like the SummerSlam one where she was presented as severely outmatched. Ok, do you want an amusingly timed stat? I was going to say that even if she loses it at the next PPV, Liv's title run as MITB winner is among the more successful, compared to Nikki Ash and others. But then I remembered CM Punk's first title reign (in 2008) was about 2 months, so went to check how long it was. 69 days. Liv Morgan's title reign, as of today? 69 days. So if she holds the belt by the end of Smackdown (which I presume she will if they're deciding her contender for the PPV) then she'll have outlasted Punk as MITB cash in Champion, in the week Punk caused so many headlines! People have complained that Liv has been booked weak as champion but honestly if you break it down outside of the Summerslam match with Ronda she's actually been presented fairly well for the most part. Week 1: Teams with Bianca to beat Natalya and Carmella on Raw while getting the pin on Natalya. Stands tall in a segment on SD involving Natalya and Ronda. Week 2: Beats Natalya clean with her finisher. Week 3: Backstage interview segment with Ronda hyping Summerslam match. Week 4: Teams with Ronda against Natalya and Sonya. Refuses to tag Ronda in to prove herself but Ronda eventually has to tag herself and bail her out and makes Sonya submit. Then of course the Summerslam match where she beats Ronda even though she tapped out before Ronda's shoulders were counted down. Week 5: In ring promo where she gets booed heavily. Gives a lame excuse for herself which doesn't help matters. Week 6: Contract signing with Shayna. Crowd starts booing her again although not as badly when she starts bragging about beating Ronda twice. Puts Shayna through a table to end the segment standing tall. Week 7: Negative crowd reactions stop as she gets a solid crowd reaction in Bizarro World and then beats Shotzi clean with her finish. Shayna attacks afterwards to get heat on her for their match at CATC. Week 8: Not on. Week 9: Backstage interview segment with Shayna on SD. Beats Shayna clean with her finish at CATC. So she really only had one week where she wasn't booked and presented well with her looking kind of weak in the tag match and needing Ronda to bail her out and then of course the Summerslam debacle. Then that led to her getting some negative crowd reactions for a couple weeks even there wasn't anything wrong with her booking those two weeks. If you take that one week out it's been pretty well booked reign. Just shows how much damage just one match can do if not booked right.

This got me curious... Incredibly, Morgan is actually the all-time record holder, male or female, for longest televised winning streak directly after their successful MITB cash-in. The match against Baszler got her the outright lead: 6 - Liv Morgan5 - Kane, Randy Orton 4 - Dean Ambrose 3 - Alberto Del Rio, CM Punk (1st reign), CM Punk (2nd reign), The Miz (1st reign) 2 - Bayley, Rob Van Dam 1 - Big E, Daniel Bryan, Dolph Ziggler, Edge (1st reign) 0 - Alexa Bliss, Brock Lesnar, Carmella (2nd reign), Edge (2nd reign), Jack Swagger, The Miz (2nd reign), Nikki A.S.H., Seth Rollins, Sheamus N/A - Asuka (awarded title), Austin Theory (yet to cash-in), Baron Corbin (didn't win cash-in), Braun Strowman (didn't win title in cash-in), Carmella (1st reign, stripped of briefcase before cashing in), Damien Sandow (didn't win cash-in), John Cena (didn't win title in cash-in), Mr. Kennedy (never cashed in before losing briefcase), Otis (never cashed in before losing briefcase)

Huge L for me, but I'll own it. They dragged the sob promos way for far too long. One would've been enough. After a while it got repetitive and started coming off as heavy handed. Which is too bad because I think the premise of her as this bad ass military woman face was a character that I think had potential. If they just did one promo and then got her in the ring and started more emphasis on her being a bad ass instead of going the sympathy route I think it would've got over a lot better. I also wonder if they pulled the trigger too quick on her going back heel again after her poor reaction at MITB. I could be wrong but I think her getting booed might have been more of a case of them really wanting Liv to win then them not liking Lacey and with all the hype Lacey had been given in the weeks being prior being worried they were going to go with her instead. I think maybe they should've waited another month and see how her reactions were and if they still weren't good then turn her heel. However then she ended up having to take a month and a half off for whatever reason so I guess it wouldn't have mattered anyways.

Shotzi had a rough night and even she was still getting a lot of chants. BTW I just looked up the match on Wiki and completely forgot Raquel was also in it.

I remember Raquel was in it because she had the worst performance in the match, and it really exposed her as not being as powerful as she looks. I know the most infamous spot was that she was supposed to pick up ladder with two women on it, but just couldn't do it, and they had to improvise around it. And then she could barely lift up Shotzi and some other women as well. Everyone had to work around her in that match, because she couldn't hold up her end of the match.

Raquel's power spots are hilarious because of how much she looks like she's struggling through them.

Cross-post from the AEW section: When you’ve got Natalya and her whole lame mom thing scoring points off of you, you’ve hit rock bottom.

I wonder if Raquel's parents completely forget Raquel.

I'm guessing Paul Heyman returns tonight from his "injury" to gloat about Roman vanquishing another hero, not sure where they go from here. I'm guessing Roman won't be on the next PPV.

It's probably going to be The Bloodline vs Drew and three other dudes in a Tornado Tag Match in Philly, then Braun gets to choke against Roman at Jewel Plug in November.

I bet like $10 that Hit Row vs. Maximum Male Models ends up being one of the worst feuds of the year across both major companies. I don't even dislike anyone involved in it but I can feel it lmao.
