Triple H loooooved his long ass heel title reigns in Black and Gold NXT. Sami Zayn in 2014 (62 days), Johnny Gargano in 2019 (57 days) and Keith Lee in 2021 (44 days) all should have got much longer runs as champ, but alas, there were heels to drop the belt to.
Finn Balor remains the only dominant face champion in NXT's history, at least until 2.0 came along. Bron feels like that dominant face champ that the brand just hasn't really had in years.

This is kind of in the same wheelhouse (and I know I'm in the minority), but The Undertaker's WrestleMania streak 'title' went WAY too long. When he didn't lose it to Randy 'Legend Killer' Orton, it lost it's meaning and he became another old man taking up another spot on the card. You point to Orton. To me, there's a spot earlier that the streak should have ended:  |

I wonder if one of the reasons Backlund's reign lasted through 82-most of 83 was because of needed stability during the transition from VJM to VKM? Roman Reigns ' current run feels less like an unbeatable badass and more like a company who have no f***ing idea what to do now. Anyone else appreciate that these two posts were made one after the other and see the connection? |

VJM to VKM kept the same longterm champ (Bob Backlund). Now that it has gone from VKM to HHH they are doing the same thing with Roman Reigns. Whether how much is to keep things stable or just not knowing what the f*** to do is open to debate  |
