I've never called it the rock 'n wrestling era because honestly it was only a thing from around July 84 to the first Slammy's, and that's being generous. I'd really say it ended when Wendi Richter lost the women's title. So to me its like a mini era lumped in between the expansion era, and what I call the syndication era. The latter of which begins when Superstars and Wrestling Challenge debut, and ends with the debut of Raw. But I'd much rather watch the stuff from 84-92 because there are still things being discovered after all these years. The attitude era wore its heart on its sleeve so to speak, sure there is stuff from it that is still kinda hidden away, but for the most part we know everything about it, and as many has said it has aged horribly.

Definitely the Rock 'n Wrestling/Hogan Era of 1984-92. The presentation style feels timeless. The booking is tight and rarely leaves any loose ends. Some of the characters are silly, but they're presented so earnestly that they work in a way they wouldn't work in other eras.
With that said, I do think the Attitude Era often gets too bad of a wrap these days. The top half of the card was mostly fantastic. And the lower card cringy stuff is often bad, but it wasn't even taken seriously at the time anyways. Not many people thought stuff like Val Venis or the Oddities was legitimately good. They were over in a Beavis and Butthead kind of way: this is so stupid that I think it's funny. Stupid and obnoxious was the cultural zeitgeist in the late 90s so WWF was doing a lot of that. But the vast majority people were tuning in to watch Austin, Undertaker, Kane, Rock, DX etc and were tolerating that garbage while waiting for the things they wanted to see. The main event stuff during the Attitude Era is as good as any main event stuff they've ever done even if the booking goes off the rails at times.
But top to bottom, I think the RNW era takes it and I still think its the creative peak in WWF/E history and it's not particularly close.
