It's on the front of of ESPN.com
There will be a news conference in Dallas next week making it official.
Nash was robbed, IMO.

Dirk Nowitzki? Of the Dallas Mavericks correct? WHo got swept in the first round of the playoffs? Its based around the regular season and he was the prize player on the team with the best record so he basically wins by default. Nash got the same treatment when he beat out Shaq for the MVP.

I still say Jason Kidd should have won at least one MVP in his tenure at the Nets. Take me off the team and they would not make the playoffs for most of those years that they did have him. Take Nash or Dirk off their teams and you still have a semi competent teams.

Bulls**t! How in the hell the MVP of the league let his team get their asses whipped by an 8th seeded team. I'm not a Nash fan but he got robbed seriously.

All votes are made before the playoffs and most of the writers didn't think Dirk would cave as he did.

Nash makes the Suns good, without him they're maybe an 8 seed at best. They've got talent, but Nash brings it all together. He's the leader of that team, and he was robbed of the MVP.

Not really I don't watch much basketball. I still think he should have won it at least once.

Plus, look no further than the "bloody nose" game against San Antonio. The Suns looked like headless chickens during that final minute. Yes, Amare has definitely made a difference this season...but Nash brings it all together. I think this year's choice will be more questioned than when Nash won it over Shaq.

I agree that Kidd should have won the MVP his first year in New Jersey. But Nash should have won it this year. Just remember the Mavs were 3-1 in games Dirk didn't play. The Suns were 2-4 in games Nash didn't play. One of those losses was to the Hawks, in Phoenix.

Based on regular season alone, I can't argue this. But I love how many writers are saying now that they wish they could take their vote back.
Can't blame them, he vanished for the most part when it mattered.

So wait, Nash plays better than he did in the last two seasons when he won the MVP, yet is not the MVP this year?

To be fare he only played in a handful of games and the Pacers trade severely helped that team. They squeaked by on the final day of the regular season to even get in the playoffs. I dont really think that warrants Baron a MVP ballot.

This makes me happy. At least we get something for winning 67 games and owning the league in the regular season (with the exception of the Warriors, the only team we can't beat. Regular season or playoffs.)

You are my new favorite poster ;D The first year Kidd made it to the Nets, after all the talk about how the Suns got the better deal (Marbury) and how Kidd only thought they would be a .500 team...they made it to the finals and brought a new life into the once (ok still dead) CAA.
