Was there anyone from those companies you think Vince could have done something huge (or at least better) with, but they never ended up appearing in the WWF when it mattered?
Sting's the obvious one here, and I'd throw in the Midnight Express (Eaton/Lane), although I think it's up for debate whether the WWF would have booked the Midnights acceptably. I feel like Magnum T.A. would be on this list if not for the accident. And I'm tempted to think Scott Norton could have been a bigger deal with a WWF repackaging. Maybe Steve Corino?
Anyone else jump out in your mind? WCW undercard guys of any sort? Even Tex Slazenger and Shanghai Pierce became WWF tag champs as the Godwinns.

I know he has worked backstage, but Norman Smiley would have been a fun lower card guy I think. Just picture Crash Holly vs. Norman for the Hardcore Title.

Rock N Roll Express would've been great in that 86-88 period.
I would've salivated at the thought of a Rock N Roll Express vs Hart Foundation feud.
Midnight Express too.
Midnight Express vs Demolition? Sign me up for that alternate timeline.

Imagine the heat Colonel DeBeers would have got in front of an audience the size of the WWF...

Nikita Koloff for sure. Especially circa 84 to 87 when he was still on the gas. Would've been perfect as a big opponent for Hogan.

I don't think much of the person these days, but sometimes I wonder if Rockabilly had to turned out to be Disco Inferno instead of Billy Gunn.

I don't think much of the person these days, but sometimes I wonder if Rockabilly had to turned out to be Disco Inferno instead of Billy Gunn. The only thing is how much would they have had to change from wcw having ownership? The theme song would have to stay, and that was 1/4th of his act my answer is basically "the guys they got anyway, but didn't use properly". They got taz, the crowd loved him, and they immediately depushed him into nothing. rvd comes in, the crowd loves him, depush him back down. Take dean douglas and make him into long hair 97/98 franchise triple threat shane, and there's a top guy, wcw got broken down looking for a paycheck shane. Dirty white boy, if he had been allowed to be the dirty white boy, and not tl hopper being jobbed out and disappearing. Jeff jarrett as memphis babyface jeff that he was there, wwf made him into "never heard of that jeff jarrett, this is country music superstar coming to a town near you" goofy heel jeff jarrett. Brian christopher was a top/near the top guy in memphis, and they made him into a squirmy joke heel and then "the guy that does the thriller dance". They had the freebirds for about a month, and you'd figure that would be the kind of thing that vince liked, they sang their own song, danced around, played to the crowd, etc. Also, lawler's monsters from memphis, suprised none of lawler's booking ideas got onto vince's shows during the mid-90s. The sandman during 1999 might've worked. The higher power in 1999 could've been kevin sullivan doing his spooky character, controlling the undertaker's evil power with his curse or whatever. Basically everyone that was a top guy everywhere else, as soon as they came to the wwf, they were made into a joke or an after thought and disappeared pretty quick.

I know he had a stint in the WWWF under a different name but I'm surprised that Austin Idol didn't get a run after the expansion. He never even showed up in JCP to oppose them. I'll admit that I don't know A LOT about his career but he's a name that gets mentioned a lot.
And yes, I realize this defeats the purpose of the thread.

Alex Wright. The WWF wanted him, and could have made so much money building him up as their next big european star at a time the WWF were reliant on their European tours for survival but he was talked out of making the jump.

I’ve said before that I could have seen early 90’s Muta as a Mr Fuji protege, brought in to help take out potential threats to Yokozuna.
While she did have a stint in OVW, I still think Daffney would have made a fun addition to the ruthless aggression era women’s roster, I especially could have seen her as a natural foil yto Kelly Kelly.

La Parka/L.A. Park. Left WCW in 2000 when the Hardcore division in WWF was peaking and would've been a great fit as he was over and recognizable. By the time the cruiserweight division was created years later he was litigating with Peña over the gimmick which probably prevented any interest. Has had a legendary career all the same but as a kid I always wanted him to show up.

Scott Norton in 1995 WWF as heel "arm wrestling champion of the world." I imagine matches with Bret, Razor, and the likes.

Lash Leroux might've been fun on that IC title level, maybe? Lash was signed for a while but quit after a spell in developmental hell.

Amish Roadkill. Dude was incredibly agile for his size and could go, but was stuck with a comedy gimmick and reportedly Vince didn't think he was tall enough.
