Which groups of guys can you think of that came from one stable, and then broke-away to form their own group?
The Union - Headed by Mankind, a former charge of Vince McMahon himself(though The Corporation wasn't officially formed until the night after Vince dumped him in favor of The Rock), was fed up with the Corporation running rampant in the WWF. Things got worse when Vince's son Shane took over and merged the Corporation with The Ministry after months of feuding together.
As a result, the future Hall of Famer decided to recruit former Corporation Members who shared his sentiments consisting of Big Show, Ken Shamrock, and Test. They dubbed themselves The Union(short for Union of People You Oughta Respect, Son or U.P.Y.O.U.R.S). They didn't last long however as their spokesmen(Mick Foley) was out of with a knee injury and wouldn't return for another three months.
The highlight of their short run you can say was defeated Corporate Ministry Members Viscera, Big Bossman, and The Acolytes at Over The Edge in an 8 man elimination match. It also sparked the on-screen relationship of Test and Stephanie McMahon, so there's that too.
The Corre - After being kicked out of The Nexus, and be replaced by CM Punk, Wade Barrett decided to take his business elsewhere and formed his own stable, dubbing themselves "The Corre". He brought along former Nexus members Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel with him, and then later joined by what became the groups powerhouse Ezekiel Jackson. The group saw some success as Slater & Gabriel captured the RAW tag team titles on two occasions and Barrett was IC champion.
They didn't last too long however as there was dissention in the group come the spring of 2011. Tensions within the group began to flare due to failed interference in each other's matches. On the May 6 episode of SmackDown, Jackson refused to celebrate with the rest of The Corre when he defeated Big Show, instead choosing to walk out on them after his match, thus leading to Barrett, Gabriel and Slater attacking him backstage and removing him from the group. This started a feud between Barrett and Jackson, who challenged Barrett for the Intercontinental Championship twice, but failed to win the title since he won the bouts on May 22 at Over the Limit by disqualification and on the June 3 episode of SmackDown by countout instead of a pinfall or a submission. On the June 10 episode of SmackDown, Barrett, fleeing from Jackson, walked out on Gabriel and Slater in a six-man tag team match against Jackson and The Usos (Jey and Jimmy Uso), leaving them handicapped and causing them to lose the match, after which Gabriel and Slater confronted Barrett and declared the dissolution of the faction, and The Corre was no more.
Any groups you can think of that came from other groups?
