I like Page. I think he's very good in the ring and excellent on the mic. His intensity isn't really rivaled. Not a huge fan of the Firm by any means but I do like that he's seen as the singles star of the group. I feel like he's earned this push after being second fiddle to Scorpio Sky for most of the Men of the Year run. Hope he makes the most of it. Speaking of which, the fact we lost the 'Men of the Year' theme is criminal. Ethan should get sole custody of it and just awkwardly edit out any reference to Sky.

I'm still not over the original PNP theme being changed because of YouTube.

I’m a huge Page fan. Ditch the stables and mouthpieces, turn him face and lean into his real life persona and charisma. Push him to the moon.

Future world champion anywhere but it’s hard to break through when your booked as the 30th most important guy.

I loved his vlog where he took Ruby to Buc-ee's. It was just so much innocent fun.
I feel like if he's in a stable, he should be the head guy of the stable. He's talented, can talk, and can wrestle.
He's another that you could put in a World Title program, and I'd be like, "Yeah, let's see this."

I agree with the others that say he should be standing on his own not as a but part in stables, Lambert harmed him massively.
He has potential to be a top guy but more just needs good midcard fueds to help find whatever he's missing to get there.
Actually I think him being pissed at being a 16 year veteran that doesn't get the respect he deserves could be it. Asking why others are cult indy stars but not him, why Jericho/Regal picked others as protégés over him, why he was never in the pwi top whatever. Being jealous of how beloved Eddie is could make for the start of a great fued.
Even if he doesn't make it to the top he deserves more of a chance than he has and I think he could help bring character out of his opponents.

I root for him because he comes off like a real nice guy in his vlogs. Don’t got a strong opinion on him as a singles guy though

I feel like that's a great storyline, but it doesnt feel like one AEW crowds would get behind live.

It would be helpful to know the full context of Meltzer's quote. That said, the perception of pretty much any wrestler is tied to the booking and presentation they receive. It's a fine line between the Ringmaster and Stone Cold or The Blue Chipper and The Rock.
Ethan Page is a fantastic wrestler that checks pretty much every box. Someone has to book him to get over and then let him do the rest.

I like him as an a**hole heel and if they are going forward with Face MJF, he might be a good first feud. If not... MJF does what Ethan does better, unfortunately for him.

Definitely a victim of a crowded roster. He'll have an occasional moment where he stands out to me, but then I just kinda forget about him.

I've seen a ton of his matches and I don't think there's a single one that's even as good as like Eddie's 15th best match this year, just for comparison. His match with Darby that was a coffin match was good, but Darby pretty much has career best matches with a lot of people ie Brody King. Other than that, I can't think of a single standout match. Hell, Page also was the lesser of the two in his tag team with Josh Alexander.

I can only see upsides when I look at Page - handsome, solid in-ring, good look for the business, can talk, & still relatively young. Just needs an angle or feud he can sink his teeth into.

I will give him that that top-rope Razor's Edge was incredibly stupid but very neat.

That Top Rope Ego's Edge was Jaw Dropping
Definitely felt like Ethan's way to turn some heads and show em "I am well worth the investment" lol

I think Ethan has what it takes to be a world champ. He’s definitely got the in ring skills, charisma and mic skills to take him there. He just needs a chance.
Character wise, I’d like either a mad king gimmick where he gets to the top because of The Firm but then it all goes to his head and starts to think Morrisey, Moriarty or The Gunns are coming for his title and he starts to alienate himself from them, leading to a betrayal from the group or a loss to someone as he was too paranoid.
