My prediction for the men's War Games match was actually for the Bloondline to turn on Jey because of Sami being loyal but Jey still being an idiot about it. Didn't materialize though.
Everything but Ronda/Shotzi was good btw.

media person: "that finish of the show was shades of battleground 2016 but an inverse" shut the f*** up LOL What, are they referring to the whole, "We've already established the Wyatt Family is being broken up in the draft but we're going to have them job out the New Day anyway because the New Day is literally incapable of winning any faction war ever," thing or what?

That was honestly one of the most fun shows I've been to. Ronda/Shotzi was pretty much the "bathroom break" type match. No one seemed interested.

We won't get the actual numbers but I'm curious how the viewership for this show will do given there's so much going on in the sporting world plus it's a holiday weekend. It just doesn't feel like as big of a show as it should be. I think being only 3 weeks after their last big show also contributes to it. No hard numbers, but WWE circulated an internal memo that apparently viewership was up 46% from 2021 and was the most-watched Survivor Series on record.

It's hard to know how to interpret that data because a) We don't know how they measure viewership. Is it average minutes watched like Nielsen Ratings or is just how many people watched for one second like YouTube. I'm sure there was an increase of some sort but we don't know how meaningful it is. And b) They're currently on by far their largest platform ever since this is their second Survivor Series on Peacock. Those will obviously eclipse the Network versions because of the increased subscriber base but even this year would naturally have an increase over last year since both more people are used to finding it on Peacock and a lot more people have Peacock. So long story short, they very likely did more viewers this year but it's hard to know just how many and that was somewhat to be expected given the increase in subscribers to Peacock.

They had significantly better viewership this year than last, so I think that’s your answer to your original question right there of how they’d hold up with more sports competition and less buzz. Your initial post made it seem like that shouldn’t be what was “expected.”

Your initial post made it seem like that shouldn’t be what was “expected.” It likely did do better but my point is WWE doesn't publish how they calculate any of this. Peacock has grown their subscriber base by 70% over the last year. So if it's just purely how many individuals turned the show on for any length of time, then it wouldn't be a reliable measure of interest or even real viewership against competition both because that would be a bad way to measure it and because it's not a real apples to apples comparison year to year.

Using the same metrics as whatever they used last year, viewership was up 46%. And Peacock’s monthly active accounts have gone up around 20% from what I see, you must be looking at paid subscriptions. 24.5 million monthly active accounts end of last year to 30 million now.

Fair point on the subscribers as a whole but it's still a good sized bigger than last year. But once again, it's likely up as a whole but I consider viewership to mean how many people watched per minute. They really should make it clear how they're measuring it because otherwise the numbers don't mean a lot to me if they just keep that to themselves.
