I'm thinking that doesn't count. HoF is a celebration for the fans without any wrestling involved. Not a one off legends night thing like so many others. Not a being manager for a spell like a Tony Atlas or such. Not even a good feel veteran run the likes of Animal and Tatanka had. Nothing. And, sure, Bruti was never a top tier guy at anything that didn't involve kissing Hogan's ass, but he was still a memorable part of wrestling's golden age and was charismatic enough to carry a small segment. During those mid-to-late 2000s years they could've used him a couple of times to prop up a show or two, I'm sure. A Hall of Fame induction requires both parties to agree to work with one another, and I'm sure Bruti wasn't flown out there for free, which is what this thread was about - having any type of working relationship with the company that made them famous.

So absolutely no working on anything with each other then... I guess it's kinda strange Elijah Burke hasn't been given another chance since Punk left the company. Maybe he didn't really have many backers within the company from his time there or he just doesn't want to comeback, but I think he could've fit just fine.

His time there was really short(like not even a year). It started off okay with a PPV match and victory over Bret Hart, but it went downhill quickly with losing to(and eventually being a sidekick to) Barry Horowitz. He was then branded out of the WWF by a newly debuting Bradshaw. Plus, WWF/E rarely uses guys from foreign promotions(Mexico, Japan) right. If there was any possible window to bring him back, it would be in the 2000s during the Brand Split(Smackdown) where he would take part in the cruiserweight division, give it a shot in the arm. Knowing WWE though, they probably would saddle him with a comedy gimmick(such as Jimmie Wang Yang) because Asians acting like a different ethnicity = funny(according to them at least).

I'm surprised they never brought out the Mean Street Posse for a fun little nostalgia pop.
The closest we got was on Raw 15 in 2007, Pete Gas was a competitor in the battle royale that night.

Samu. I know they teased him returning during Fatu's "make a difference gimmmick" but it never came to fruition. But that was in, like 1996. There were plenty more opportunities to bring him back, the man has history in the Fed going back to '83 when he came in as a third Wild Samoan, he even challenged Hulk for the WWF Championship. Come to think of it, I'm surprised Tonga Kid/Tama/Samoan Savage has never resurfaced there. I was thinking of both these guys earlier today. Maybe I read your post and just forgot. Samu is an odd one given the family history as is Tonga. They had such short runs but with so many family members being with WWF I'm surprised we didn't see them pictured somewhere or in some segment. Not exactly a guy who would be a surprise but I wonder about Sivi Afi. I know he was in prison but I felt bad for him getting the tattoos and having like two matches with Islanders and then I guess being let go. I don't know what came first though, if he got the tattoos and the idea was to make him High Chief or if he was told of the gimmick and wanted to get them.

I'd say Matt Morgan. I know he flopped, but he still fit so well with Vince's vision that I'm a little surprised that he didn't keep Morgan's name in his Rolodex for a possible run.
I was also going to mention Nathan Jones for the same reason, but I had no idea he had been injured and stopped wrestling because of that.

While he(along with Tony Garea) did save Jimmy Snuka and Sgt. Slaughter from a post-match attack at the hands of Deuce 'n Domino at Vengeance:Night of Champions in 2007, I find it baffling Rick Martel is still not in the Hall of Fame. He has a long and storied career to warrant that.
Also, Tony Garea has been a longtime WWWF/E employee first as an active wrestler and then a road agent until 2014, he should be inducted in the hallowed halls as well.
Any reason behind their omissions?

Everywhere Hogan went he was going to follow. So as a result he was in WCW for about five years. Also he was pretty much useless in the ring after he came back from the boating accident so there was no need for WWF to bring him back. Only reason he lasted in WCW as long as he did was clearly as a favor to Hogan to keep him happy. Tatanka at least was still solid enough in the ring when he had that comeback run. Animal was pretty bad but was still better then Beefcake and also was Big Johnny's older brother which also probably helped. I do remember him making a cameo appearance on the Edge and Christian show when the WWE Network was still a thing. I believe that was before his Hall of Fame induction although I'm not sure.

He has done a few since, and I expect him to give a go-ahead within a few years. If Garea were to go in, I would have thought he'd have been a shoo-in during the "banquet" era (1994-96).

Wasn't one of his movies that stupid WWE produced Battle Royal knockoff?

Not that modern day fans would know who he is(except maybe familiar with his face as one of the agents that breaks up fights), but I'm surprised to learn that not only did Rene Goulet not worked for the WWF/E since 1997(I thought longer for some reason), but he never even got a Hall of Fame induction, not even in the Legacy Wing.
Maybe not a major name in the industry, but definitely a longtime employee who can get a quick Hall of Fame nod. Was also one half(with Karl Gotch) of the second ever World tag team champions.

Rene not getting a 1994-1996 HOF induction is surprising. Back then Vince was inducting people who he felt helped his father or himself in the company's early days if they still had a good relationship. Tony Garea isn't in and he's another guy that worked with WWF I think even longer than Rene. I feel like the Attitude Era and becoming Mr. McMahon really changed Vince and not just on TV but in real life. It probably also is not coincidence there was no HOF in 97 as the times were changing in WWF. They did do the tribute to Louisville but I'm sure backstage issues were already going on in early Fall so maybe a HOF ceremony was scrapped.

Mr. Kennedy and Rene Dupree. When you piss off Cena AND Orton. No chance you are coming back, especially during Cena and Orton's peak from 2007-2016.

Since it's been about 15 years, (14 since he was let go and but next year makes 15 since he was a regular fixture on television) I kind of have to say Mr. Kennedy...Kennedy. For someone who was both prominently featured for as long as he was AS WELL AS not particularly old in TV years, I don't believe we ever even saw as much as a try out (match or broadcast or backstage role) or surprise NXT appearance or even a talking head in a docu-series. Didn't Orton and Cena dislike the guy? Because if that's the case, yeah, he's never coming back. Didn't it also come out that past year or so that he was scamming people out of money with a fake wrestling school or something like that? Can't see WWE wanting their name mixed up in that
