In case it was not obvious that is one of Musk's burner accounts on the bottom.

The "King of Space X" and "Mr Tesla" are both state funded.
Ironically, Grimes isn't.

Didn't last a whole damn year. It’s almost certainly tied to Musk giving the check to people with a certain number of followers that are paying for Twitter. The reason they made it hideable in the first place was because every normal person mocked anyone that paid Elon Musk for the opportunity to have an emoji, so Musk could still get those sycophants’ money while (trying to) protect them from being widely mocked for giving their wallet to the wallet inspector, but now that Musk is, somehow, making the checkmark even less meaningful, he can go back to not being able to hide the check.

I've seen a few people with blue checks complaining that they suddenly have blue checks and basically assuring their audience they didn't pay for this shit.

And there it is. His bright idea to curb the bots is the "charging new users to do anything" plan. MODERN DAY SOCRATES

MODERN DAY SOCRATES Never mind the fact that the bots all bought Twitter Blue and now there's a wall of automated replies in every comments section, THIS SOLVE THE BOT PROBLEM, YOU GUISE! What an unserious person.

1) Bots already pay for Twitter Blue
2) The current idea is that new accounts pay for the first three months and then they can tweet without paying - bots just have to wait
Letting people pay a relatively small amount to have their tweets pushed in front of the eyes of other users was probably the second worst thing Twitter could have done to combat the bot problem. The first worst was firing so many of the staff and he did that too.

Please, just kill the website already. I'm begging. Kill the website and force all of the big users to go to Bluesky or Threads. They are the only reason Twitter has any value remaining.
