I am one who believes WC went from just being bad gimmicks to all the things the IWC complains about, but I get my kicks from time to time out of it. And the archive brings back a lot of young adult memories. EDIT: Anyone with good memories know if the original archives had any edits made? As many WERE 20 years ago tops, so I'd guess there's a few things that didn't age well. Actually, I ask this because I am reading The Dragon entry, and I could have sworn this was where RD said the announcers never acknowledged his past...but there's nothing to that effect. Also, I get the original comments sections depending on what I'm viewing it on, and sometimes the Disqus version. They did edit out a certain part from the Chamber of Horrors entry. |

The idea of hiring a guy to write for your site predicated at least in part on making fun of how bad his ideas are would be an insane stunt casting mistake in in a normal lens. Wrestlecrap must be really struggling for attention if this is the low they've got to sink to. But given everything Russo says, it's just also indefensibly shitty.
Also I'm not reading the whole article but Russo misspells 'breathe' in the f***ing first sentence and that about sums it up. Moron.

Kinda f***ed up they use an image of Sonny Kiss front and center for the AEW section. I know it's because Sonny was a participant in the 2019 Double or Nothing battle royal, but the optics of calling Sonny Kiss Wrestlecrap reflect poorly. You should read how poorly some of those articles have aged It has not aged, especially with what they called Eric Bischoff's vampire costume in one Halloween Havoc review. |

Doesn't help one bit how much that article is just a showcase of the site being out of touch with wrestling in general. Literally, someone got assigned "write an AEW article" and just picked the actual first match because he could figure out how to turn enough of it into jokes to call it a day. |

I'm mixed on the new design. Cool how its a lot more streamlined and don't have to pay for older inductions but kinda miss reading the Rewriting The Book column that used to be on there.

I will go out of my way to make sure I never hear even a millisecond of that. You don't really even have to go out of your way....just don't have to simply click on that section. Hell I read it thought it was dumb and goofy. I don't care for Russo when he talks about wrestling much, and you cant ever really believe him. But I also know him & RD are friends and have been for a while, hell I even liked that 1st ep way back when of WC Radio he was on when he just talked with RD about nonwrestling stuff. So its pretty easy to just not click his column. Honestly for any website to still be active 22 years later and with some of the stuff that has happened with WrestleCrap, its great it is still up and running and now that the full archive is up finally, can't complain much. |
