Once the Hardcore title became too mangled to salvage they came out with two custom titles. Apologies for the lack of pics.
The first was Bradshaws Texas Hardcore title which was the Smoking Skull belt with Texas stickers on it.
The second version was Tommy Dreamers New York version which was the European Championship with a NY license plate over the main plate and 9/11 memorial stickers over the side plates.

I always found it funny that FMW in Japan totally ripped off belt designs. Like the Brass Knuckles title being a fake NWA title with a fist with brass knux image on it. Same with the WWF Tag Team Titles. They didn't go the cheapo route of just putting stickers over WWE logos like American indies do, though. These were real belts with FMW logos, made in the early 90s, but just ripoff designs. Funny enough, FMW had two different World Brass Knuckles Championship belts. The first one was an original belt, later called the Independent World Heavyweight Championship and when it was Unified with the Belt in your pic, the holders would have two different belts saying World Brass Knuckles Champion.

The OVW title sure is a weird one that feels inspired by the winged eagle and the big eagle

I just saw the other day that the old ROH TV title was pretty much an exact copy of the old 6-man WCW title. Like the plate shapes and dimension are identical. How many more instances of this are there? Only rules for this thread are small indies don't count. The indie I used to go to literally reused old WCW replicas and just painted over the WCW logo and include pics if possible I'm glad someone else noticed this. I pointed it out to someone a few years ago and his mind was blown. Even more interesting, this same design is also the current Impact tag belt design, except those have nickle plates with either red or blue lettering.

Did ROH do this on purpose? I also wondered that for years. According to Conrad on a very recent episode of WHW, the ROH belt is a direct homage to the UWF belt. Say what you will about Conrad, but he's a massive belt collector and aficionado. I will never question his belt knowledge.

The WCW Television title was supposed to be an updated Cruiserweight Title, replacing the Light heavyweight. For a while, the TV title still had the word "Cruiserweight" or had a "Television" plate over it. Hahaha! I knew it was the same design but I didn't know WCW just stuck a new plate that said "TELEVISION" on the old Light Heavyweight belt. You could get away with such things pre-HD TV.

Does the TNA/GFW/IMPACT title belt that Eli Drake held with the plate or sticker (depending on who you believe) that said "IMPACT" over the old logo count?
The IWA Caribbean title that appears on MLW is a cheap looking knockoff of the classic Reggie Parks, WWF IC belt.
90% of the awful looking current belts in WWE are the exact same lazy ass re-purposed design. The WWE, Universal, RAW Women's, SD Women's, and UK are all the same shitty looking, thoughtless design. And the only one that doesn't look like shit is the UK title, because aside from the same shape as the others, it actually looks like someone put some time and effort into designing it. Instead of putting a giant "WWE" plate in the middle. Also, this design is just a re-purpose of the belt that Rock debuted after beating Punk in 2013. Only difference was that one said "CHAMPION" under the WWE logo.
The belt Lex won at GAB '91 was an old Florida territory belt with a plate on it that said "WORLD CHAMPION" that Dusty re-purposed for the night since Flair left with the Big Gold on short notice right before the PPV.

but did they just smash an old winged eagle title anyways? Austin said he has the one he won at Mania 14, which is the one they used for most of the mid 90's, and some other collector claims to have the smashed Mr Perfect one. Last I ever heard, Mel Phillips grabbed up the pieces of the smashed belt. I believe he or maybe someone else was selling them on eBay. This has to be at least 10 years ago, maybe more. Keep in mind, WWE now at least, has several versions of the belts. There's the TV belt, the touring belt and a lot of guys and girls want one for their personal selves. Austin probably has the one HBK wore to the ring that night, but that's not the one that was hanging around since Mania 4. I guess the belt looked like a mangled shoe if you squinted hard enough. You're right...the Winged Eagle HBK wore wasn't the same as the Mania 4 one. In fact, there were subtle updates made to the design over the years.

The belt Lex won at GAB '91 was an old Florida territory belt with a plate on it that said "WORLD CHAMPION" that Dusty re-purposed for the night since Flair left with the Big Gold on short notice right before the PPV. The worst was when the director of the PPV decided to have a cameraman stupidly get a closeup shot where the makeshift belt takes up the entire screen. Oh, WCW.... And what's funny is the stickers they put on that belt were repurposed on the six man title (also mentioned a lot in this thread) when they needed to use it as a stand-in TV title... i.redd.it/6f3dsyz1d4z61.jpg

The 2011-18 TNA title was a blatant take on Big Gold.

Speaking of ECW. The TV title was very much like the WWE Winged Eagle before the resdesigned them. Speaking of that. Taz had a custom version of that belt with a name plate that was later used for the first FTW title.

A relatively lesser known comparison. Jeff Hardy's Immortal belt and Over the Top Wrestling's Gender Neutral belt.

That old WCW television belt is one of my faves.
