I'm still trying to figure out why Tori was in DX. Because she was kayfabe boning X-Pac, AKA Mr. DX.

All this Horseman talk and no-one mentions Mongo!? Probably because Mongo, uhhh, 'limited' as a wrestler as he was, had the swagger and confidence of the Horsemen. I don't think he looked out of place at all.

Mongo definitely belonged kayfabe wise. Also, real life wise he was a bigger celebrity than the other guys-maybe not as big as Flair but that might be debatable given who you ask. 1990s he may have been more famous than Flair. He's a guy that Ric truly loves and cares about, he's a rare one. His theme music was like some sort of awesome battle music and it fit him well. He may have not been real good in the ring but he went in to those matches like it was a real battle. Benoit belonged and Malenko belonged, just not Roma.
There was a mid 1993 Saturday Night match with Flair, Roma and Arn versus Austin, Pillman and Windham. 5 future hall of famers and Roma. You could tell from the look on their face and the way they walked to the ring they hated Roma being a part of the group. In any match a Flair, Arn combo with one other Horsemen would be the odds on best team ever but not against those three guys and with Roma.

Mongo had that Horsemen swagger and confidence in the way he held and carried himself. He was proud to be one.

80's Mongo could outparty 80's Flair, that's why he fit as a horseman

Is Owen Hart in the Nation too obvious? Enough was enough, and it was time for a change. He tried to be a nice guy.

Is Owen Hart in the Nation too obvious? Why do you think he was called "The Blackhart"?

Shane Douglas in The Revolution in WCW. A group of under utilized midcarders teaming up against the system wasn’t a bad idea but Shane was already a decorated veteran and worked best as a heel anyway.
Chyna in The Corporation. It would have been better to delay her heel turn and have her join alongside Triple H instead of awkwardly wedging her into the heel faction.

Superstar Billy Graham in the Paul Jones army. This still blows my mind.

I think the answer from the NWO forward in all major promotions is if they can't figure out what to do with someone, they just stick them in a random faction or stable.

Del Rio in the League of Nations. A Mexican guy who portrays a wealthy aristocrat and uses a technical style in the ring thrown in with a bunch of brawling eutotrash.

I imagine it was kind of the joke, but Disco Inferno in the Filthy Animals stuck out. Granted, so did Billy Kidman, who was kind of a square in his own right, but still, he at least kind of fit due to being at least young.

Mideon in the Ministry. I get why he was there’s, to eat pins. But compared to the rest he felt out of place. And there were some other midcarders who I think could have sold the effect they were shooting for better.
Similar note: Kevin Sullivan in the Dungeon of Doom. A stable full of hosses/monsters with short, pudgy, balding Kevin Sullivan as their lord and master. Tremble before his painted eyebrows!

Hell I'd say Jarrett fit just fine too He did outside of that Flair and Arn didn't want him and were forced to take them IRL, right? Which is silly to me since I think the main complaint Ric had was thinking of Jarrett as a wannabe Flair. You know, for doing the Fargo strut and Figure Four, two things Flair didn't invent, either. I assume it was more a matter of principle, that Flair and Arn resented the idea of the company telling them who was to be a Horseman, especially after stuff like, when Herd was president, Flair being prevented from adding Stan Lane and Bobby Eaton in one of the many, many dick measuring contests between Flair and WCW over the years. I believe it was backwards, Flair was enamored with Jarrett in storyline and the rest of the Horsemen thought he was annoying

We wouldn't have the Russo swerve if things went that way.

I believe it was backwards, Flair was enamored with Jarrett in storyline and the rest of the Horsemen thought he was annoying In storyline, yes, outside of Debra also liking Jarrett. I meant in real life, Arn and Flair seemingly weren't fond of WCW insisting on Jarrett, despite him honestly fitting a lot of their criteria, like being a "born with a silver spoon in his mouth, born winner" background like Tully since both of them were the sons of wrestlers who were also promoters and put them over big.
