As much as I don't want to say it as a Bears fan, I really like a LOT of what the Detroit Lions have been doing. However, I refuse to pick them, so I went with the Bills. I think the upcoming season is HUGE for the Lions though. Basically, the entire NFC North is a mess right now so they could take over the division easily.

I think the upcoming season is HUGE for the Lions though. Basically, the entire NFC North is a mess right now so they could take over the division easily. I would not say the Lions will be the next team on the list to win a title, but the Lions are putting something together now and I think this year people are going to notice. I won't say they are a Super Bowl team yet but I think they are going to shock some people this year. Could see them winning the division depending on how the Vikings do, Green Bay likely losing Rodgers and the Bears still in a rebuild. If not that then a wild card spot is not the craziest prediction. As for this list, I will say the San Diego Padres or the Cincinnati Bengals. I think the Padres have too much star power and if all the gears start turning right, San Diego could be a major problem for other teams come October. The Bengals will be good as long as Joe Burrow is healthy. If they can fix their O-line issues and get a few key defensive players, they are going to be scary good.

The Lions, Cardinals, and Browns all have NFL championships from the pre-merger days.

The Lions, Cardinals, and Browns all have NFL championships from the pre-merger days. And the Pavers and Nets both have ABA championships. However that is not the concurrent championships that we have now which is what the focus is.

Turns out the Nuggets were the first!
And either the Panthers or Golden Knights are next!

First-time champions in the US Big Four leagues crowned on back-to-back nights (probably). Doesn’t happen often. It would usually only be exclusive to the NBA and the NHL given the World Series in in October and Super Bowl in January/February. Going through, this was tied a couple of times, which should be an exceptionally rare feat moving forward. Here are the years where it happened; The Flames won their first SC on May 25th of 1989. The Pistons would win the NBA title on June 13th, 1989. The Stars won their first SC on June 19th of 1999, the Spurs won their first NBA championship on June 25th of the same year. In 2006, the Hurricanes got the Cup on June 19th, while the Heat won their championship on June 20th. The Blues were SC champions on June 12th, 2019 while the Raptors won their NBA championship the next day on June 13th. Golden Knights on June 13th 2023, while the Nuggets won their's the night before on June 12th. There are 6 teams left in the NHL and 9 teams left in the NBA. The chances of this happening again are extraordinarily low, let alone two new teams winning in the same year.
