Sometimes I wonder if Ric Flair can actually die.

For years, people have been saying that Richard Fliehr doesn't exist, Ric Flair does.
Ricky Steamboat just said in an interview with Apter this week that the real reason he didn't get involved in Flair's last match was he didn't want part of his legacy being that he was involved in Ric Flair's death. That is probably the closest Ricky Steamboat has ever gotten to burying someone (no pun intended).
This is where I wish athletic commissions were still involved in wrestling across the board, there is no way in hell he'd get cleared by any legitimate commission.

Speakinf of this, I wonder what AEW original plan for Flair was. It seem like they were building up to Darby/Sting Vs. Andrade/Flair before the dsotr episode came out.

As detestable as Ric Flair is as a person, I still pity the guy. He clearly knows nothing of life that isn't wrestling and his gimmick. He thinks dying in the ring would be some great final note to end his life on when it really is just sad, tragic and pitiful.

Also as far as his wish for dying in the ring, doesn’t he have any consideration for the business as a whole if that ever happens? The wrestling business sadly has a lot of tragedies. One of the biggest stars in the business becomes a wrestling tragedy.

He probably thinks he is leaving some great moments as opposed to what it actually is.

Parroting what others have said - Richard Fliehr died in the 80's, I think, leaving only Ric Flair behind.
It's sad. It's not just sad, it's pathetic, but Ric's made sure to surround himself with enablers who won't tell him when to let it the f*** go. Then again, he's gonna do what he's gonna do anyway, may as well try to keep the old fart alive as best you can.

I have this theory that Ric Flair left wrestling after WM24 and quietly retired to Belize. The part I haven't figured out yet is the identity of this pathetic old bag of bones masquerading as the 17 time champ seemingly for the singular purpose of completely burying his once great legacy. Much like Keith Richards, he actually expired years ago.he’s just so thoroughly pickled that the message hasn’t reached every nerve ending yet. Another rumor similar to this is Michael Jackson actually died after the Pepsi fire in 1984, and some weird imposter guy started playing him for the next 25 years.

At the risk of repeating myself, I’ve said many times that Ric Flair the wrestler is one of if not my favourite of all time, but f*** me is the guy behind the wrestler not a good person. He had what I feel was the picture perfect send off on the raw after mania 24.
I know that he’s not the first wrestler to have a hard time letting go of to quote Harley race “being under those bright lights”, but he and most especially the people around him need to get real, and realise that unless he stops he will die in the ring.

Thing is too, if he does die in the ring it's not gonna be this dramatic send off like he may want-- he's an old man now, it's just going to be pathetic and sad

The truest, most sincere, genuine thing that Ric Flair ever said, that he meant with every fiber of his being was his "I....WILL NEVER RETIRE" tirade. He meant every word
