Randy Orton in like every bad storyline that he's been apart of over the last like 15 years. Dude literally is the Pitch Perfect meme. He went to the papers because he had to.

Everyone came out of Embrace The Hate looking at least slightly worse and yet they were all hilarious and they put a ton of effort trying to get people to be compelled by it. And then they moved Kane to Randy Orton and he's like I embrace hate, that won't work on me lol

Mickie James during the psycho story. As fondly remembered as it is, mainly because she put everything she had into it, its still eye rolling cliche attitude era. Still to this day one of my most favourite stories they've ever done. Mickie was unbelievable in that role and she's been one of my favourites to root for ever since as a result.

My favorite part was t even all the lesbian innuendo, it was the segment where Trish officially labeled her a psycho, the audience started chanting it, and Mickie totally rolled with it, “No! No I’m not!”

Why does everybody keep mentioning the custody of Dominic angle in this thread? Doesn't everybody know that's a legendary storyline in "sports entertainment" history?! Worthy of being mentioned in A&E documentaries? What is wrong with "YOU PEOPLE"? You don't know classic sports entertainment television.
I'm obviously being a smart ass. That angle is one of the worst things I've ever seen in my life and literally made me embarrassed to be a wrestling fan when I had to watch a segment of it with my mother. The fact that WWE has spun it into something legendary is both hilarious and sad. I fully blame Bruce for this as even before he returned to WWE he always spoke of this angle on STWW like it was his magnum opus. Which is also hilarious and sad that he thinks so highly of it.

this is "Kane: the thread" he waded through a lot of bad/terrible storylines and was usually able to drag out something entertaining from it.

"Eddie's dead!" This really showed that Batista was going to become a good actor. He didn't yell or scream that line. He just said it so simply "Eddie's dead Rey." Just so cold and he was basically telling Rey to stop bringing up Eddie to get out of trouble. It probably mirrored how fans were feeling at that time too.

Rusev during the angle with him, Dolph, Lana and Summer Rae. All four of them for that matter. Overall package was less than the sum of its parts.

I thought everyone did a great job during the Claire Lynch storyline. Kazarian and Daniels rode their exact personas that emerged in it for nearly a decade

Lita reacting to Cryme Tyme selling her personal belongings after she retired. She hated it and asked them to change it but bless her being professional and putting her all into it.

Cena during the bray Wyatt feud. Even though the outcome wrecked the Wyatt family’s momentum, Cena actually did a convincing job selling that his true blue, all purpose hero persona was actually afraid of this new menace.

Most people disliked the Forever unchained storyline with Goldust/Luna/Marlena, but I always thought the beginning vignette that kicked it off with Dustin breaking up with his Wife after she had just finished being forced to spend time with Brian Pillman was really well done
The acting from both Dustin and Terri was uncomfortably believable and the video clips they layerd of the two of them with their daughter just made for one of the best done dramatic moments I can remember in Wrestling.
I can't post to it, but if you search "Goldust Leaves Marlena (November 3, 1997)" on YT it will come up

He came across as a genuinely confused guy with daddy issues who had made a mess out of his life and was now going hard into religion to try to stabilize himself. It was uncomfortable in a good way.

I don't know if this counts, but Big Bossman definity gave it his all in his feud with Big Show. "You here that Big Show? You're a bastard, and your momma said so!"
