Alberto, as his career went, doesn't really exist to me at all anymore. It's all been replaced by my headcanon that whenever he snorts coke, he gains the power to pull knives out of his flesh and immediately tries to start fights with the first person he sees. What I find so fascinating about the guy is that despite being champ and constantly in the main event and him being the main focus of so many hours of TV... you can easily tell the story of 2010-2015ish WWE while omitting him completely and you wouldn't miss a beat. And it's not like the WWE tried to scrub his existence like Benoit. Dude was just that forgettable and uninteresting. He couldn't elevate a ham sandwich. He won the Rumble, wrestled Edge in his last match (for a decade at least), got multiple Mania world title matches and reigns, was the first EVER Mexican WWE Champion, ended Cena’s epic US title run and even was shoehorned into a legendary storyline in the Summer of Punk and he still has absolutely zero legacy. I bet most people didn’t even remember half of those accolades. It’s really amazing.

Imo Del Rio's best and most memorable moment was the double turn with Ziggler. I think this is the best moment for both of them, frankly Thats fair. Id say Ziggler's best moment is Survivor Series 2014, but the double turn is up there.

They had a chance to make a change with Del Rio character there as leaning more into a grittier look and getting away from the flash of Mexican Aristocrat but it was just a short lived change

Del Rio is the Avatar (movie not Al Snow) of WWE. So much money invested, so many accolades, decent wrestler and some good matches but zero cultural footprint or memorable moments. See but that comparison fails because Avatar literally made a shit ton of money and put butts in seats worldwide. (TWICE) Del Rio is like the John Carter of wrestlers Man lol I liked John Carter of Mars. Prolly cause at the time I thought the main female actress was hot AF cause I remembered her from X-Men Origins Wolverine

I will never forgive Alberto for what he did to Paige's ovaries.

The whole period of Batista's 2014 return was unhinged and I mean that in the best absolute way.

Bertie could've rode that high of his original departure and gone down as a folk hero for standing up to the machine, but god damn it he just had to go and Del Rio it.

I thought he had some legs as a babyface with his manager for a tic.
Otherwise, he was "Ted Dibiase, but Mexican" and that's been tired for 30 years now.

Del Rio come out to the ring in a fancy as hell car. A different one every time. And I don't know if this is true or it was something we made up as a board, but I recall Cena cutting a promo and saying those cars were all rented.

I know he came out in a fancy car but in NY mind it's always jbl's white limo.

I know it gets crapped on for being a lame Rumble, but Ricardo Rodriguez entering the 2012 one in place of the injured Del Rio and entering in an old shitbox car and a thrift store scarf was a great spot.

Is this the way you always phrase it? Is it your fault that I have 'shitbox' in my lexicon since 2012? I have been wondering this for years

Batista's 2014 run is interesting in the sense it seems it was meant to go on a lot longer but everyone apparently agreed to just leave it. Knowing the type of guy Batista is, I’d like to think he asked to have Bryan added to the main event and agreed to be the one who took the submission. No he said in an interview on JR's podcast he hated the whole yes movement and hated the fans going into business for themselves. He even broke his babyface character during the negative reaction to his rumble win
