So next week is Raw 30 and Austin hasn’t been announced has he?
I wonder if there’s a legit chance he shows up in the Rumble.

So next week is Raw 30 and Austin hasn’t been announced has he? I wonder if there’s a legit chance he shows up in the Rumble. I've been thinking there's a decent chance of that happening lately with it being in Texas, him posting all those workout clips, the stories of him getting the wrestling bug again after last year and thinking of doing another Wrestlemania match this year. The only question I'd have is he capable of taking the bump over the top rope? I know he took bumps in that KO match but a bump over the top rope to the floor for someone with a bad neck who has barely wrestled in 20 years seems like a bigger deal. Of course he could win the match and not have to take the elimination bump but as much as I'd mark watching it live and the Texas crowd would go crazy once the dust settles I really don't think a 58 year old Austin should be winning the Rumble. I'd be fine with Rock doing it as Rock/Roman makes so much sense but Austin really doesn't need a Rumble win or title match. If he's in the match he can come in for the huge pop, have a good showing then get screwed over/eliminated by whoever his Wrestlemania opponent is.

There are ways for him to get eliminated that would be less dangerous than just flying over the top. Fighting sequence on the apron being one of them. Could even have whoever would be his Mania opponent and has been thrown out already, pull him off the apron.

I don't get it. At all. It's kind of a small horse, I mean what am I missing? Am I crazy?

Yeah, I think if you have Austin show up at a Rumble in Texas it has to be to set up a Mania angle. I think otherwise you run the risk of people being PISSED when he gets eliminated similar to the Daniel Bryan disaster.
