First time I’ve ever seen cathartic chopping. And somehow it fit. I love wrestling because it’s competitive but requires cooperation. Which to me sets it apart on top of all the other intangibles. Something about going for broke for a fallen friend/brother just seems..right. Anyway, here’s a great pic

It takes a special kind of person do go out and have a match like that under those circumstances. I could tell a couple of times before the bell ring where Jay Lethal was barely keeping it together. Once the bell rang both of them did what they did best.

Jay Lethal's a pro's pro and he wore his heart on his sleeve tonight

Very emotional moment. I'm glad that AEW was finally allowed to do this. Its amazing what a wrestler can do in a match filled with emotion that you can tell that wanted to break down. But they had a good match and after it, let it out.

seeing mark by himself has broken me Seriously. Mark and Jay have wrestled singles before, obviously, but the sheer finality of the sight this time, with Mark having to hold both tag belts, just hit really hard. Thankfully Mark has a very tight-knit family to lean on in all of this, and their community has really rallied around them, too. It doesn't take the pain away, but it does make the load a little lighter to carry.

As an aside, I suppose there's something fitting in that Mark and Jay were tag champions more than anyone else, with no one even remotely close. I feel comfortable saying that Tony need not worry about having to try to preserve that record, it's simply not going to ever be an issue.

The commentary was great too. The regular three would have done a good and respectful job too but Riccaboni, Excalibur and Coleman were perfect for this.

The ROH commentary team is so good. And I'm not just saying that because Ian posts here.

Big fan of both Lethal and the Briscoes and I enjoyed the match and look forward to seeing Mark more on AEW TV.
